Well my dog recently hurt her leg. Been almost 5+ weeks of recovery and plenty of $$$. But certainly cost not even a thought. She likes that sun and warmth, really helps.
Need to add she is doing much better. She is about 90%+.

My vet uses laser therapy to treat soft-tissue injuries. It won't fix serious injuries like luxated kneecap, but it does reduce inflammation. It's pretty inexpensive treatment too.

Here's my pal. He rides in the truck all the time. I pulled the back seats out to give him some extra space.

I actually bought a cold laser therapy device for her. She seems to enjoy it.
Beautiful pup

Are dogs riding in the back of trucks not a thing anymore? I feel like I never see that and it makes me sad. I guess I didn't get the memo. Before anyone levels the safety spear at me, we were driving through the neighborhood (no main roads) from the beach and my old man's rear shocks are kinda shot after nearly 14 years. He's not going anywhere except to the side to breathe in the freedom.

My dogs exclusively ride in the back.

I'm not cleaning up after them inside.

I've shared these before but here they are saying hi.

Well, we can at least both agree that you have beautiful dogs. Maybe because yours are in an enclosed space it's ok? I don't know.

This post had me wander down the google rabbit hole. Apparently, in my state it's a $50 something ticket. BUT, it's legal for 12 year olds to sit back there on the highway, and don't get me started about the big uncles that sit on folding chairs against the tailgate.

Sorry to reply to you and run off on a tangent. I dunno, I think I'll just pay the fine if they have no one better to pull over.

Nice dogs.

Most of the time the sides are up on my FasTop. The supports help contain them, but wouldn't stop them if they really wanted out or if God forbid there was an accident.

I just take it slow and drive hyper defensive when they're back there. No freeways either. I try to stay around 50 mph max.

I live in what was once a farming community on the outskirts of Denver. While it's changing rapidly it's conservative enough that no cop has ever been concerned about it. Although the fastop might fulfill some legal loophole that I'm unaware of.

Tangents are cool with me that's how threads stay interesting.

Today is going to be a tough day.
IMG_0016_resizes.webp

I took this photo on the 20th. On the 21st the veterinarian said it's time for her to see what's next. We have a vet making a house call to euthanize our poor girl at the house in three hours. My wife is going to be an absolute mess. But we take solace in knowing that for 12 years, she had an absolutely fabulous life and was happy and comfortable.
