When are control arms needed when lifting your Ranger? I’ve seen post on here saying anything more than 2 inches as well as anything more than 2.5 inches and lastly anything more than 3 inches? So what gives? When are upper control arms needed when lifting your truck?
As others have said, it depends.

But realistically if you have the front end apart installing the new suspension, it would be easier to install them as "preventive" if you have the ability. better to install them and not have had to, than not install them and need them later . . .

What did the place you're buying the suspension from recommend?

Just as a abasic, Stage 3 runs the gammit from 300 for RC to near 1500. . .

What are you looking for as an end state of the truck? More lift to look cool? more payload or towing cap? overlanding? rock crawling?

Again all of these factor into what is recommended. . . If you are going to need extra travel or flex, new control arms could be necessary. If you just want more lift and aren't doing crazy stuff, stock arms might be fine.

might, could, possibly . . . these are doing heavy lifting in this thread.

Is this essentially the lift you're doing?
