I swapped the 18" lariat rims for 17" Tremor rims and tires with TPS sensors that were a take off from a member on here, drove 3 hours one way to get them. paid $1200. made a fun day out of it with the wife. Was well worth it to me since thats what I wanted. my original rims/tires/sensors are in my basement. I may use them if I take a drive to Florida or something as the Hankooks are a bit quieter/smoother on asphalt over the Grabbers.

The Hankooks are garbage in the snow. Wouldn't pay too much.
I had just the opposite impression. My XLT FX4 with the stock Hankooks did great in our last snow storm.

Opinions vary.

But most around here would agree they're on the lower end of snow performance.

They're a pretty hard compound compared to most ATs, that probably doesn't help.

It's going to cost a lot to ship them

Road trip would probably be cheaper.

How many miles on the takeoffs?

the Hankooks drive fine in snow, never had any issues here in Iowa with them, they are definitely horrible MUD ties

Do y'all see any issue with swapping these 17" rims/tires with my 18's?
Also, what do you think is a fair purchase price for these take offs?

this guy sells lot of OEM takeoffs. The tires are brand new and states " Removed from Vehicle with less than 50 Miles" and I have bought several sets over the years. Highly rec. physically located upstate SC, but ships free. I save approx 250 picking up. If nothing else, I use him to compare pricing. example here:

I abhor this scam.

Tire Rack does the same thing.

Shipping is "free," but I can save multiple hundreds of dollars by picking up on their dock.

It's not really free, then, is it?

Should say, shipping "included."

It probably should say “one-way shipping included.” Returns are seldom covered. If the tire is defective, they want you to have it inspected at an approved installer before shipping a replacement. If you total the car some time between the online order and installation, return shipping is at your expense.

Why do you call it a scam? Most outfits that offer "free shipping" don't give you any break if you pick it up. I would say the fact that they are offering a break for pickup is a very positive thing.

I can’t complain about Tire Rack, or Discount Tire. Both (soon to be one company, BTW) provide quality products at good prices. Most local tire stores will match their pricing, but don’t always have the fresh tires that you get from them. Just recently, I turned down the obsolete model of Michelin X-Ice at a large regional chain tire store. I could probably have negotiated a discount, but with little hope of getting a matching replacement if I need it. Tire Rack had the new ones, and they are on my Prius now.

For a pricing comparison..I just sold my OEM 17" Magnetic XLT wheels in CA for $400 without TPMS and the (5) Hankooks w/ 3000 miles on them for another $400. Sold them in a day and happy with what I got. BTW: The 265/65R/17 size is also OEM for the Toyota Tacoma and there are many more Toyotas on the highway than our Rangers. Many of those owners are always looking to replace with the stock size so IMO it's easier to sell the tires than the Ranger wheels.
