I was thinking...just thinking...about black powder coating my Rangers wheels. I did that once before on my F150 and it took a while.

I have the OEM wheels/tires from an older F150 in my garage. I was wondering if I could put those on the Ranger while I get the powder coating done. They are both 18" wheels. Haven't looked at the tire size difference yet.

I'm just thinking about it so this is very preliminary research for now.

Most likely, I'll wait till I need new tires and do it then...with a small lift and bigger tires...Ridge Grapplers.

Not sure what generation F150 your wheels/tires came from, but Ranger has a different lug pattern versus the current F150...The Ranger is 6x139mm, and the F150 is 6x135mm (at least the last two gens have been, not sure about before then), so I don't think the wheels will be cross-compatible.

I'll have to take a look to verify.

The F150 was a 2014.

In any case...it's just a thought for now. Already spent too much money on the Ranger anyway.

In case you are still interested in swapping to F150 wheels check out my latest thread. BORA can accommodate.

Check the hub bore size. You might be surprised to find that even if the pattern is the same, the F150 has a smaller hub bore.

Now you guys have done it! My sons 2015 F150 extra set of 4 33’s are in my garage. Hmmm will they fit with current wear? Only one way to find out!?
