The loose connection I found is the plug on the differential.

I assume so. It's the two wire plug in the top side of the differential, where the speed sensor wires split. So the 6-Cavity C421 connector ?
That is the connector for the locking differential. It shouldn't have anything to do with a wheel speed sensor. I think that you are disturbing other wiring to the speed sensor when you are unplugging this connector on the differential.![]()
Thus is what it looks like (the plug I had loose) on side of differential. I tightened it and cranked it and no codes. Got back in this morning, cranked it, and codes lol....
I'll keep going through it.
Only loose connection I've found.....And my wiring looks great, nothing frayed or unraveled etc. and every connection so far is good but that one. I'm ordering a Ford sensor today to try. Wheel bearing had no play and there's no noise from it. I do have slight vibration issue at higher speeds like I've seen people mention but it's minimal and probably AT tires but that's the only noticeable thing I can think of. I'm going to move toward the front of the truck on the wiring & double check it but it all looked great last time. That is the connector for the locking differential. It shouldn't have anything to do with a wheel speed sensor.
Here is a wiring diagram and connector locations for the right rear wheel speed sensor.Sensors are a great safety feature but man, it's become overkill on automobiles and a constant problem.
