How do you know which one to replace? I don't have a code reader at the moment but have all the symptoms discussed in this thread.

You will need to have it scanned to read the code , Auto Parts stores have the ability to read the codes - Free -if you do not have a scanner.

Agreed but leaving for vacation Saturday and need it fixed for the trip. No cruise control would suck driving to OBX

What's up guys, superdannyboy here.

A couple months ago the abs light popped up on my dash, TC was instantly disabled, hill start assist disabled, parking sensors turned off, and precollision assist was turned off. Also, since the sensor couldn't correctly read speed, the electronic hydraulic assist on the steering wasn't working properly so it was stiffer at low speeds turning the wheel and just fine at higher speeds. My sct tuner didn't read any codes. Took the truck to AutoZone and they didn't read any codes.

Then I downloaded forscan and paid like $12 for a year subscription and made a booboo by pugging in the OBD2 cord for my sct tuner into my laptop. Instantly fried my motherboard so I got to upgrade to a newer laptop while I ordered the OBD2 cord that they recommend on the forscan website.

I plugged in the laptop and ran forscan where I got a code for the right rear wheel speed sensor.

I bought the rear wheel speed sensor from onlineFordpartscatalog.

I loosened the 8mm bolt holding the wheel sensor in. Unclipped the wire at the 4 locations and put in the new one.

I had the same alerts and lights come on in my 2019 Ranger, I disconnected the negative side of the battery to see if it would reset, it did not. I didn't get any stored DTC's. So I also have an Mazda MX5 and I pull the battery over the winter and when reconnected I have to reset traction control by starting the car and turning the steering wheel all the way to the right and then turn it all the way to the left then shut off ignition then restart. So I said what the heck I'll try it on the Ranger, it work cleared all lights and warnings. I've only driven it a few miles since but I'll give updates down the road. I'm not sure if you have to disconnect the battery or not but you can try it before disconnecting and if it doesn't work try disconnecting it. Keep me posted if this works for anyone else.

Sorry for the delayed follow up. Ended up being what seemed to be some rodent damage (chewed up wiring) between the rear wheel sensors and the front of the truck. Wiring / cables replaced and all has been well since. Oddly enough, shortly after I bought it I was going through the storage under the rear passenger seat and cleaned out what looked to be a mouse nest!!

And, Finally got a picture of her to put with my profile. Had lots of compliments on the color.

I had the same issue which turned out to be the right rear wheel speed sensor. I replaced with one I purchased from Amazon for less than $25. Took me around 30 minutes to replace. The trouble lights were still on after replacement. I tried disconnecting positive battery lead for 15 minutes. No change. I disconnected negative battery lead for 15 minutes. Still no change. The next day when I drive the truck, as soon as I got above 40 mph all trouble lights cleared. Power Steering, Cruise control are now working.
