  1. Transmission fluid smell when heater on

I guess it's possible. It was low after I changed it and I had to add more to smooth out the shifting (which it did). I've looked all over for signs of a leak etc and found none. Where to look?
  2. Transmission fluid smell when heater on

Smells exactly like the ULV fluid.
  3. Transmission fluid smell when heater on

I'm getting a transmission fluid smell when I run the heat for a period of time on my 2019 STX. No signs of leaks and I've looked everywhere from the ground up. I just did a relearn on the gearing and I changed out the fluid and filter a couple months ago. Transmission is whirling along the...
  4. Curious about tires

I've checked out my u joints etc and found those to look fine. Yolk needs to be greased but that's getting handled this week. Yolk support is stable as far as I can tell, there's no crazy movement there that I can feel/see. It's only happening at the higher speed.
  5. Curious about tires

I've got 265/70R/17 Calvary's and they are rough. 2019 STX On a side note, the dealership said they're seeing tons of tire issues when people bring in Fords thinking there's a transmission issue or drive line problem.
  6. Curious about tires

For those of you that have stock sizes and no lift, what AT do you run? I cannot get mine to balance well enough to eliminate the vibration at 65/70ish MPH, yes, road pressure balanced even, So I'm looking to make some changes. May lose the stock rims as well.
  7. Wheel Speed sensor issues

Slight leak I must have missed first time, so I'm leaving it with the dealership and using the warranty. I'm betting that's the vibration I'm getting too.
  8. Wheel Speed sensor issues

Ok, well, the news isn't good......Found seals leaking this time. Pulled the sensor again and this time it had oil on it. After looking at things, I believe the axle might be bad. Will know for sure next week because I'm turning it over to the dealership.. But the good news is it's under...
  9. Wheel Speed sensor issues

Sensors are a great safety feature but man, it's become overkill on automobiles and a constant problem.
  10. Wheel Speed sensor issues

Only loose connection I've found.....And my wiring looks great, nothing frayed or unraveled etc. and every connection so far is good but that one. I'm ordering a Ford sensor today to try. Wheel bearing had no play and there's no noise from it. I do have slight vibration issue at higher speeds...
  11. Wheel Speed sensor issues

Thus is what it looks like (the plug I had loose) on side of differential. I tightened it and cranked it and no codes. Got back in this morning, cranked it, and codes lol.... I'll keep going through it.
  12. Wheel Speed sensor issues

I assume so. It's the two wire plug in the top side of the differential, where the speed sensor wires split.
  13. Wheel Speed sensor issues

The loose connection I found is the plug on the differential.
  14. Wheel Speed sensor issues

I'll start with wiring and work to hub if nothing found. The issue is happening intermittently right now, it comes and goes, so a bad connection sounds like a possibility.
  15. Wheel Speed sensor issues

I didn't and that's going to be the cheapest first try I guess, assuming I don't find another issue when I inspect the hub/axle.
  16. Wheel Speed sensor issues

Well, well, well.....back again with same sensor issue, so I've definitely got a problem on the RR wheel area. Tone ring? Bearing? I don't know.....but it's frustrating. No trash on sensor or in splines still.... no bearing noise when turning (will check looseness today). No loose or bad...
  17. Wheel Speed sensor issues

Cleaned it all up but it really wasn't very dirty at all. Cleaned the two plugs to be sure and did find the one on the axle was a little loose, so I fixed that and dropped in the sensor and it's all good so far. I'll go back over the complete wiring one more time tomorrow to double check that.
  18. Wheel Speed sensor issues

Curious, I might try to clean the teeth just to cover everything. What's the best route to do that?
  19. Wheel Speed sensor issues

I looked at the ring teeth earlier and didn't find problem but might as well look again. I tested the plug earlier today and it tested out good. I'll clean it all up before I put another sensor on. I think you're onto something though but I just haven't found it yet. I'll go through it all...
  20. Wheel Speed sensor issues

It's the right rear sensor that's bad. But I've got a lifetime warranty on those so I'll just trade them out. If it goes out again, I'll grab OEM from Ford. May grab some to have extra anyway if history with them is an indicator of the likelihood of it happening again. That Jeep had so many...
