It’s time for new wheels and tires for my white ranger. What are you guys with lifts/level kits running for wheels? Thinking 17in Offroad overland look.
Ofc I like the methods but $$$
Honestly the RC model 85 look pretty sick! Just looking to see what people are running and some photos!
Pretty set on ATW-4 for tires 285/70/17

A 17” wheel will give you lots of sidewall - a good thing. Before you get too attached to a model of wheel, be mindful of the available offsets. You’ll avoid trouble as well as extra work and expense if you keep it at +25mm and higher. You can certainly go lower but be prepared for crash bar removal/replacement or some trimming. Going taller than 265s could mean you’l need levelling shocks or a levelling kit.

My wheels are from a Canadian company so that won’t be much help but they have a +15mm offset and I run 275/70R17 General Grabbers. My setup includes Fox shocks set at 2” and ReadyLIFT crash bars.

The tires perform well in all conditions and wear well. My offset creates a bit of poke but I usually have fender flares that keep stones at bay. If you can’t find 285s in the tire you want, 275s are still plenty big.

Without Fender Flares - an inch or more of poke

275/70R17 vs. OEM (255/65R17) - still quite big

Wheels and taller tires are a good modification because you’ll get the look you’re after and be a real hit at the mall, like me.

I'm running 265/70/17 tires on bronze Fuel Shok in 17x9 with a +20 offset.

Bilstein 5100 set at 1.8. Still factory crash bars and no rubbing.

The rear has Tremor leafs so a slight lift there.

And here is the "poke".

Excuse the red square where I used this image to point out the ACC sensor.

I went with Rock Trix 17x9 +12 offset. Budget friendly price and they look nice with the black grille guard and bed rack I have. As someone who has dealt with RC’s lack of quality and failed parts (numerous times), I would caution against using their products. Their stuff looks cool in pictures but their parts are cheaply made and focused on aesthetics rather than performance. For roughly the same price, you can get wheels that look just as cool but actually perform well offroad instead of just in the mall parking lot.

Pro Comp has a nice variety of wheels. I can vouch for their strength. My Jeep left the ground on more than one occasion. I spent a lot of time on trails that a daily driver had no business being on. They never failed me.

My wheels are the same as Dennis @Dr. Zaius.
17x9 Fuel Shok bronze with a +20 offset mounted on stock size 255/65R17 Goodyear Wrangler Fortitude HTs. It's a highway flyer.

Shocks and struts are Bilstein 5100s with the fronts set at 1.8
