The Ranger name was first used on a production vehicle for the 1959 Edsel. The Ranger being the base model and Villager and Corsair were the middle and top models, and both of those names have been recycled as well. the Villager name was used on Mercury station wagons and later a Nissan Quest-derived minivan. The Corsair name now graces the smallest Lincoln model sold in NA.

In 1969, the F150 Ranger XLT debuted as a 1970 model. It was the top model of its day, the 302 (4.9L)Windsor V8 debuted, but many were equipped with the 390 (6.4L) V8.

Production figures I have seen call for the current T6 (2024) Ranger to be in production through 2029, when a BEV or PHEV version is to debut; whether in place of or alongside an ICE model is unclear.

Hopefully you or someone familiar with UK nomenclature can further explain what info you are seeking, because your query makes no sense for North American Rangers.

I believe the Ranger name came out in the early 50's on a 4x4 conversion kit by marmon herrington on their panel truck. After that it was a trim package till 65 when it became a model name.
