Looks like a car seat anchor point. Odd that they would put one there if that's what it is.

from ford website. I went to all dealers within northern va and looked at the pics and all 22’s had them. I wonder if their back seats auto stay up like mine or if now they have to be latched. Or did the auto have failures. Mine have always stayed up but if you don’t lift it high enough it will not latch and slam down.

It's the latch hook to hold the bench seat up. There is a receptacle on the top of the seat for it.

Ford gave you something instead of taking stuff away?! ?

I have nothing on my 22' crew cab like that, nor does it lock in place.
