in all honesty though, I did not think I would like electric lawn tools.Basically anything two stroke is non existent, gas is just extremely hard to find. They basically restrict the availability and that’s how they’ve been forcing their hand.
I assume you use the whole can in one shot as they're not very big?Put in a shot of "pump saver" after each use. Especially when you store it for the winter. If you leave hard water inside the pump, it'll leave deposits.

As for my pressure washer, I'm using an electric PW that's right up there with gas powered models. 3000psi Ryobi

Here's a much cheaper way to winterize them. Get a gallon of RV antifreeze (about $4.00) and an old piece of garden hose with a male end. Screw it into the water inlet of the washer and add a funnel and pour about 6-8 ozs into it. You can pull the cord a couple times slowly to circulate the antifreeze and you're go to go. Polish ingenuity! ?I assume you use the whole can in one shot as they're not very big?

No. Just a little shot.I assume you use the whole can in one shot as they're not very big?
I use it all year round but it should be winterized if it's going to sit longer than 3 - 4 weeks. It doesn't take much for deposits to form inside and eventually damage the pump. This is just cheap easy insurance that your pump is safe and your washer will work when you need it to. Been doing this for over 35 years and never once had a pump failure on any of my 3 power washers I used for business and now my house.wait, you don't use your pressure washer in the winter time?
weirdos.

Even my snow thrower is electric and it does nearly as good as gas (it's a Toro).in all honesty though, I did not think I would like electric lawn tools.
I bought an electric edger because it was dirt cheap (Dewalt 60V) and have been so impressed by the thing. I still have my gas mower and gas weed eater. But when it comes time for the next maintenance cycle (Or they go on sale next spring) I will be replacing them with battery powered tools.
My neighbor has an electric mower and he is out mowing at 7am on sundays I can't even hear him cutting the backyard from the front.
now to caveat this - we have ~1/3 acre of land so not a giant yard so I only need one set of batteries per tool (and really could do with a single battery for both the edger and trimmer) so maybe 3 batteries for the entire collection of tools. If I had a larger yard or a ride on mower I would probably still be sticking with gas.
Like everything though, electric will work for most applications and most people and be a better experience for everyone involved. but there are outliers, giant yards, stubborn boomers etc. . . ?
shrug, guess I should finish my coffee before the electric is the enemy folks jump on here. . . lol
I saw some of the electric blowers at the bix box stores this summer - for now I will just continue to shovel. A guy down the street just had foot surgery and is out of commision for the winter, but he has a gas blower so if I need one this winter I know who I will be helping to clear his driveway . . . lolEven my snow thrower is electric and it does nearly as good as gas (it's a Toro).
All lawn tools are electric except for the Billy Goat Lawn Vac.
The Ego mower took a while for me to get used to - it's doesn't lift twigs very well. And my Ego blower is only used in turbo mode, which is supposed to be hard on batteries, but they've been doing well for 6+ years.
My latest toy is the Milwaukee pruner:

imo, about 85-90% as good as gas

I'd highly recommend a two-stage thrower. But you're as aware as I am about wet snow. I'll get very wet snow that really taxes my electric Toro. A single stage wouldn't handle that for me.I saw some of the electric blowers at the bix box stores this summer - for now I will just continue to shovel. Electric lawn tools (and contractor tools) are getting to be affordable and nice to use.
We had a guy come in who did some plumbing work in florida - all his crimpers and cutters were battery operated. no mess or fuss with big crimpers or cutters.
Heck - 16 parking spaces will clear my driveway, my sidewalk and my neighbors driveway and still have juice to spare. https://www.dewalt.com/product/dcsnp2142y2/21-60v-max-single-stage-snow-blower-kit?tid=598301
but than I need to get another battery pack. lolI'd highly recommend a two-stage thrower. But you're as aware as I am about wet snow. I'll get very wet snow that really taxes my electric Toro. A single stage wouldn't handle that for me.
This is the one I use:

In reality, the 26" would have been a bit better - same powerhead but heated handles and I think it has better steering.
FIFYSoapy's foaming at the mouth again.
The batteries really are the limit. For my Toro, it has two 6Ah ones and that's enough to do my driveway once or twice (depending on snow weight and depth). My Driveway is 55' by 14', so not huge at all.but than I need to get another battery pack. lol
sigh, it does look more better though. lol
