Got the other one on before work today. Tried another approach for torque, tried a torque adapter and shorter ratchet instead of the beastly torque wrench that normally handles 85lb ft of torque... also unsuccessful

There really isn't room in there for a torque wrench on the bottom of the end link. My suggestion stands, tighten as tight as you possibly can and call it good. Best measurement I could manage with the torque driver, due to lack of space and leverage was 50+

I believe you can go higher by just muscling it the issue is attaching the equipment to measure it you don't have the room.

Also, you'll have to school me on the UCAs, what's the allure there? Better bushings? Stronger? Do they offer more travel or what?
Unless you are doing higher, more aggressive off-roading, probably overkill, but since you added those "beefy" control arms, why stop there. ?

Here's something that may help you decide.

“Why stop there” exactly ?
Build it up to the point of it makes you happy. Send it (keeping it Road “legal” of course ?.)

You just saved me from an entire day of boredom, thank you.
(Tweaked my back at some point yesterday, so I’m paying for it today.)

Never heard of the tinkerer’s adventure channel. Enjoying it thoroughly. Lots of cool details in the videos.

A ex girlfriend had a nice kitted up FJ (she preferred to have me drive so she could be a passenger princess, she didn’t like how crazy my Evolution at the time was pushing around 440wheel torque) they drive better than taco’s in my opinion… if I was gonna get a Toyota I’d be looking at those gas guzzlers?
Well my useless comment of the day has concluded… until next time ?

I haven't installed any UCA's at this time, but do prefer the drive feel with the updates front swaybars.

? I can't even think of 1 item you could get for $5.00. Although with your shopping expertise (are you and Annie aren't related?) I'm sure you'll come up with something! ??

Time to expand Soupie's Dump Runner service, and I'll have a few bucks leftover - from FB marketplace and very close!

Heck at those prices buy 5 and just open your own dump. ? This way you could save putting miles on Soupie, work all day at something you love and knowing you probably move in and live there. Sounds like a win/win to me.?

I got my Dr. ColorChip today, thanks to @TheAssuager and the endorsement of others. Now I need a warm day. Already watched videos and it sure can do a good job.

I also got more Blue Creeper - I sure love that stuff. I used some on three water shutoff valves that have been screwed onto their pipes for 60 years. 3/8" female iron pipe fittings and they came off beautifully. Thanks @Fordup! =)

That Bluecreeper is amazing stuff. It's the only penetrant that works every time and doesn't stink or outgass for weeks. Try the SMO for items that require a light oil. I use both of them all the time. I may buy the gallon next and one of the harbor freight pressurized sprayers for the big problems.
Need before and after pictures of that chip fix. Better hurry up and get it done before snow ❄❄☃⛄.

lol I looked it up and didn't see anything smaller then saw the price. :surprised: But we all know David @subquark has deep pockets and he buys just about everything that's recommended on here.?

I'm sure the Blue Creeper is really good especially if you have a older house/cars to work on. I rarely need much penetrating oil but when I do I have a can of Kroil. I've been using it for many years and it has never failed me and it comes in a variety of sizes too.
