As I get deprogrammed from my AzScorpion brainwashing, and run out of things to buy for Soupie (and run low on payload from said purchases), I'm getting more and more fringe on what I buy for the Ranger.

It's a hard habit to break ... =(

Last week I picked up that Model T Ford wrench and it's a nifty desk toy and I love the history. But to balance out the old, I bought what is supposed to be a highly-rated crescent wrench. I already have a nice set of Crescent brand wrenches in Soupie's on-board-and-likely-to-never-be-used tool kit but I could use another for my garage tool cart. I have lots of old crescents but many are rusty and need some TLC - a good project when I retire in a few years.

So I found this one and thought it would scratch that monkey-on-my-back habit and I'm mixed about it. First, it's not US-made (made in s Spain, how odd is that?). And secondly, it's kind of short. But the jaws are a little less thick that other ones I have and that's what I needed to tighten up my Brody knob (post on that suicide knob).

Apart from being a gimmick, it has inches and centimeters lasered on. I guess I could use it in my tackle box to measure very small catches!

it has 10mm? quick delete this post and hoard!

the extra wide jaw has the downside of having the worm screw sticking way out. looking at this pic I thought it had casting cracks in it but they're just shiny spots from being rubbed on

the mature adult in me appreciates the "WIDEAZZ" reference! =D
and Code Blue grips? No way, wow, I'll be the envy of the forum!

final thoughts

Worth it, no.

But it's already had a use and that's plenty to scratch this buy-stuff-for-the-Ranger itch! =p

Maybe I'll toss it in the center console to keep that third 10mm wrench company!

Where is AzScorpion anyway? I haven't seen him around lately. Is there a recent 'where's Dave?' thread I missed?

Also, I've had two of those code blue cresent wrenches in my tool bag for ages. The smaller "engineers" (i think they call it) one is the one I use the most. But that said, I'm not a big fan of adjustable wrenches if I have any other option.

Fair enough. Hope all is well.

Haha. I've seen one or two in the past, but while being slightly active on here in the last couple months, I haven't strayed much beyond posting updates on my truck and stuff I get in the mail lol.

PPE Shallow Pan arrived today at a phenomenal price from Stage3. Thanks Frank!

Now I have to sort out install…I really wanted to tackle this project myself - but, I’ve grown weary with all the 10R80 issues that perhaps I should get the dealer to install to alleviate any potential warranty claim issues down the line…

Very nice! I'm looking for something like this or the Lightforce fascia. Did it come with the switches? Please post pictures once installed.

It came with the switches. I didn’t want to wait for the seller to get bigger ones back in stock so I’ll see how I like the little ones. If it isn’t what I want I have the plate with cutouts for the bigger ones I can switch to. I think I am going to wet sand the texture off the face from the 3D printing before I install. I’ll throw up pics once it’s done.

Awesome thanks. I've been torn between Lightforce, one of these or Stedi switch panels. Curious to see how it looks sanded.

My Covercraft Marathon Cordura seat covers FINALLY shipped Tuesday after overshooting the original ship date by about a week. ETA is next Monday.
Seat covers made it in on Saturday! Boy are they TIGHT to put on. Struggled for a bit yesterday and only got the driver's seat, both front headrests, and the center console fitted. Probably not any easier doing it in the dark ... Photos to follow.

Letter from Ford for a credit card, and get this, they think no interest on balance transfers until January of 2024 is a good deal (likely after a x% fee to transfer the balance, I didn't read that far into and filed it in bin "R") ?

These bad boys arrived today...

Very nice, prepare for a decrease in gas mileage. I recently all Eibach from coil overs to level my Ranger and installed 265/70/17’s.
Very happy with the look and so far after 1000 miles I am getting 10% worse mileage ( went from 25ish to 23ish)
