RETIRED!
Driver’s side of the bed, rear. There is a factory power connection below to connect to, driver’s side only has factory power. Manual switch. Installs in 1 minute or less. ???
Perfect! I was wondering what that plug was for.

Thanks for the info.

There's a plug down there???
And I can hook to a light???
But do lights come for both sides?
Or just drivers side only?

Only the drivers side. There should be a pigtail towards the rear just under the bed rail cap.

Edit: it's under the truck by the frame harness.

Isn't that the same plug used for the Wolf Haus outlet??

You know I meant to pop my rail cap off while I was refurbishing my rack and get access to that plug. I forgot about it. How else do you get to it, remove fender liner?

I don't have one and was going off memory, which isn't always working so well. It's not directly under the bed rail cap it's under the truck on the body wire harness, there's a dummy plug. Just look up under the rear fender and you should be able to access it easily. I'll try and find the original post and add it here.

I have those rear fender liners that completely enclose everything, so I am guessing I need to remove that (or some portion) to access it.

Nice. Thanks.

Do we know if this 12v power source is the same as a direct battery 12v source? I could simplify a lot of wire routing in my setup if its as reliable as a direct battery source.
This post here explains it well.

The plug is down near the frame...you could use the 12V outlet harness (seen above) and modify as needed. It's not hot all the time, but there's a long delay after the vehicle is switched off. If I remember right, the delay can be changed using Forscan from 10 minutes to 1 hour. I think standard was 30 minutes.

Ah I guess my big question is: "What gauge is this power harness?"

lol
?‍♂ You're turn to do some digging. lol

I'm a novice idiot when it comes to lighting and wiring. Sid @Msfitoy might know?
