I do have to say I'm considering removing the damper during the winter months. 0* out yesterday and it took more than a minute for the tailgate to fully lower. It was painful to stand there waiting for the gate to open when the windchill is -30*
Maybe I need to change over to winter damper fluid. ?

 I should start making damper warmers. A small insulated wrap that can plug into the aftermarket Wolfhouse plug.?

They are slow in winter. Don't forget the winter blinker fluid too.

Questions! Where exactly do you put the light? Can you add one on each side & is there a plug on each side? I assume you manually turn the off & on or do they function with the dome lights?
Driver’s side of the bed, rear. There is a factory power connection below to connect to, driver’s side only has factory power. Manual switch. Installs in 1 minute or less. ???
