I think it is a termite mound well away from any structures at the edge of woods.
I had some of them in my backyard after buying our present house. Some idiot decided to grind stumps instead of digging them out. Next the ground will sag down.

Sometimes Rangers are not included to our activities.

Today I didn’t show to my Ranger what I sa
20 years ago all the city was full of recycle bins like this one. Now there is only this restored one.

PETA probably lobbied to have them removed, as they were existentially training people to to feed penguins non-recyclables and garbage.

I’d knock it over with the mower and let the blades chop it up.
I am a live and let live guy until they start invading my space like mice in my truck. Not hurting anything where it is, at least 30 yards from any structure. I find it fasinating that it seemed to show up almost overnight. Maybe if Canada had more termites, they may have finished off the combustible material that is now on fire.

Here is a house guest I don't mind. We saw him last year on my upstairs patio, he had to climb the brick pillars, and just the other day he was laying on the downstairs patio but very lethargic so I took him back to a wood pile. Went back a couple of hours later and found he had shed his skin, guess that is why he was not active. Eastern rat snake, I think?

Looks like a rain eroded deer feed / supplement / mineral block.
I'm thinking termite hive. It looks too "put together" to be a salt block. Also
the middle photo shows a termite on it. And thirdly, @samsd labelled the photo "Termite."
There is a chance it's a salt block with a termite on it, but salt blocks I've seen near deer stands or livestock pastures don't get that rough.

Don't think it is a salt block, never seen one get like that plus I mow weekly on this property and nothing was there the week before. Termites can swarm and fly. Google lens says termite but also ant hill.
