I did get the job at the gun range two days a week. So much fun working with customers and new shooter/gun owners. There's always a couple things you could do without but it's so minor I look forward to going to work. I can't always say that the last many years teaching. I did like my job and the interactions with my students and colleagues but like any job the powers that be can sure ruin it at times.
Yeah but that's not really a job, that's a fun day out of the house that you get paid for. Like when Norm on Cheers got a job at the brewery and almost cried and refused his first paycheck. lol

More truck stuff…

Everyone I know who doesn’t have a cottage of their own thinks it’s all sunsets, S’mores and Happy Hours. 😓 😰
They are if you hire a landscaper or local kid 🤔. Us stubborn old coots wind up doing it ourselves. Trouble is my Ranger identifies as a garage queen 👸 that only carries stuff from Home depot 😁.

Too bad we don't go to the mall 😁. First time I drove it in the yard, it got stuck in the mud and we had to pull it out. A truck with car tires is basically a big car.

You know it. And it’s necessary work that you can’t always get to quickly, so it often becomes a bigger issue/problem/task. Now excuse me while I head back out to finish cleaning out that last run of rain gutter and install new gutter guards. 👷‍♂️ 🔨
I have a sign in my garage that I had in my shop. It reads, If you have nothing to do don't do it here. Now it takes me 2 or 3 day's of doing nothing to make sure I'm done. 🙂

You need a utility trailer to haul that stuff if you don't already have one. I have done stuff like that with a shell on the truck and it sucks!!😂
I hear you Mel. I’m lucky, the landfill drop off is only about 3-4 miles away and I’m pretty good about not buggering up the screens in my shell. It’s half physics and have artwork to load a truck with a topper. Also, I love that you call it a shell. I think I’ve lived in so many different places that you could call it a shell, a cap, a topper, a canopy, or a camper cap and I’d know just what you were referring too. Funny how that’s a regional thing.

My cottage neighbour has a cargo trailer that just sits there, unlocked and I’ve been tempted to “borrow” it when he’s not around. The longer SuperCab bed and years of having a Ranger as a work truck make it second nature for me to manage. A tarp and some cargo netting would mean fewer trips, for sure. Thankfully, hauling brush isn’t a regular thing for me. 👍

So true Duke, they don't think about twice the work!
Finally, a break after dinner….kinda makes it all worthwhile.

Funny you mentioned canopy. Shell and canopy were the only two terms I ever heard my dad use with his. Camper shell was another one later. It wasn't until sometime this century I heard the other terms used. 😂

More than twice the work, because you aren't always there when a problem rears its ugly head, and then it just gets worse until you finally catch it, and possibly even worse while you figure out how to fix it or source the materials to do so.

PE class was the best! You could always tell when our teacher didn’t have a lesson plan (Which was often).

Today, we’re using the small gym - murderball. Let’s go. Odds and evens. Call it out. 1, 2, 3, 4,………

Especially when you’re as far from the place as you are. And then you only have a certain window for getting the work done. Kinda like my roadtrip a few years ago to fix hurricane damage. I had zero happy hours that trip.

Speaking of happy hours, you and your wife should drop Thing One with your Sis and head up here for a weekend - three hour drive, guest cottage on the beach all to yourselves, beach fires every night, and you won’t even have to chop firewood. Seriously, you should come. I’ll text you a short video to tempt you even further.

Few days ago, we towed for the first time...many more to come...Intech Pursue 1,500lb camper, 300 miles from GA to home...very smooth towing experience at 70-80mph...hardly noticed the trailer behind us except the mpg took a hit...as expected, my normal highway of 18-19mpg dropped to 13-14...glad I didn't go for a taller camper...

PE, Health for 35 years and I got to add Sports Medicine the last three. PE used to be the best until kids didn't want to do anything or follow the rules of the game. Instead of the admin making the students accountable we had to dumb down a very well organized curriculum to just "keep them moving." 🙄 PE became a punishment for the teachers and a dumping ground for the counselors. Gee I wonder why there are behavior issues???? 🤔 I loved it in the old days when kids were competitive and got into the games. We had almost zero problems and we could actually teach and test skills learned in class. The last ten or more years it was "throw out the ball," which made us all want to 🤮. Oh, well. Not my monkey, not my circus anymore!! Now I have to carry a gun to work! We don't get hardly any problems at the gun range!!😂

Man, they look so good together!

Can you get matching wheels for the trailer? How about more lights? ;)

The trailer's gray is a close, but not exact match to the magnetic gray...unfortunately, Fuel doesn't make the Shok in 15"...keeping an eye out for a look alike...lights? Stay tuned...🤣
