Looks nice. I did this way back in 2020 when I bought my Ranger. Still holding up great. I have a Undercover Elite hardcover with a full Bedrug in the back. Absolutely no leaks in mine, and it's been through some amazing rain storms packed with irreplaceable family heirlooms. I use the bed as a large trunk.

If I haul stuff, it's with the 2005 Ranger. 21 years old, runs great and I figure it's going to out last me.

Both are garage queens. Both are clean inside and out.
My 2005 Ranger looked identical except mine was red and yes, its still on the road today.
My neighbor drives it daily. It was one of my favorite pickups. Yours looks great

Those are a pair of nice looking Rangers @TJC. I like them both, especially your 05. It reminds of the blue 04 that I had.

Thanks! I'll be replacing the door seals soon, they've gotten stiff with age. Otherwise it's good as new.

I took it to Quick Lane this morning and had its regular service done, oil change and tire rotation.
And I did a little window shopping while I was there.
This caught my attention...............

Went to my favorite tire shop to go back to stock sport wheels and put 285/70-17's on. In the process discovered I have flattened the Icon springs (w/ a leaf added) and i’m missing something. 🤔

Looks like OME's are in my near future.

Now a days, quality is hard to find at any price! :( Do they have a warranty?

Nope, warranty has passed. I think my decked drawer and contents put them at the edge and and my trailer had the last word.

So, now I am surfing labor day deals though!

Man, I still see a ton of the late 90's to early 2000s Rangers out there. A true workhorse!
My wife refused to let me sell it. She told me it would be the last vehicle to go in our household. She values it over the 2023 CX-5 turbo and the 2020 Ranger XLT. It has been completely reliable for 22 years.

No Homelink on my Lariat. How did I manage that?

I just fixed that today. Took about 15 hours total over 3 days. I wasn't working very fast.
- Got power from an unused switched 5 amp fuse using a fuse tap thing.
- Had to do a lot of cutting out the structure behind the overhead panel. It was quite tedious. Trim, fit, trim more, fit again...
- Had to cut off a little of the case on the Homelink unit as well. Trim, fit, trim... Ugh.
Both pieces look kind of hacked up, but I don't have access to all the cool tools we had at work, and you can't see my hack job.
- There is a slight color mismatch because the unit is from an '08 - '10 F series. I don't mind, It was only $40. Cheap because the visor was damaged and all I needed was the Homelink part. It almost matches the roof panel.

It looks better in real life. I couldn't get a good picture.

It was a lot of work at times. Tedious! Would I do it again, or spend over $100 on a used visor?
I had a blast! Of course I'd do it again.

It appears that Jeep and Dodge use the exact unit. Not positive about that, but they sure do look the same.

Finally used my Hypertech calibrator to set the dash for the bronco tires I added over the winter. Measured the tires by the total circumference of a full rotation / 3.14. It gave me 31.75” instead of the 32” when measuring from the ground. We will see how accurate it is omw to work Tuesday.

That's probably right. They are almost never the size stated on the sidewall. Be sure to go by the odometer and not the speedometer. Speedometers generally read 2 miles an hour fast.
