What did you do to your Ranger today?

Changed out the crummy synthetic blend 5w30 they dumped in my engine when they swapped my trans for full synthetic Ultra Platinum Pennzoil.

I feel better now. Felt a little wasteful till I dumped it. For oil with all of 200mi on it, was kinda cruddy and dark. Maybe the swap broke some crud loose in there I dunno.

It's almost like there was used oil in it ?

That Valvomax thing is great, didn't have to remove the skid plate, no mess, easy work ?

So I had a similar experience after they replaced my transmission. Repair order showed they replaced the oil filter but no mention of oil. I was already going to pull a sample ( easy with the Valomax) to check on fuel dilution that was high this spring so I did. Results came back and I noticed the comment questioning correct oil usage. So not being sure of what they did with the oil I just changed it and the filter for peace of mind. I do all my own oil changes so I know what it had before the transmission change. Probably overreacting but not worth having a question mark on my maintenance history.
PS fuel dilution had dropped from 5% down below 2%

Last time I was out I dropped two 80ft aspens and had them bucked with two batteries.
I’ve got a little more aggressive chain on and it’s a little wider chisel that the standard 3/8’s LP.

I didn't do this "today" technically, I just haven't posted about it since installing the new lug nuts lol. But it's funny how something so little makes a big difference. The chrome lug nuts just threw off the whole "Black Package" vibe of the truck being the only chrome on it. Now it looks proper. Now the white letters are buggin me ?.

Don't worry bout the white letters.....first thing people will notice is the stunning SuperCab, the best of the best. Their eyes will be drawn to the beautiful lines of the Scab, and never notice the letters.
Then they will notice you, and complement you on your good taste in owning such a beautiful truck !!!
