I’ve been curious about a shimmy I feel at about 120 km/hr that flattens out at about 140. My extended warranty will expire in late September so I wanted to see if it’s just my wheels being out of balance.

I threw on my factory wheels and sure enough, the aftermarket wheel set needs to be balanced…again! I feel better knowing it’s not a centre bearing or axle issue as others have experienced. ?

It looks like it skipped leg day so it’s a good thing my fender flares are off at the moment. Man, it sure doesn’t hesitate when I hit the go pedal. ?

After swapping out my Grabbers for the original factory wheel set yesterday, I cleaned up the aftermarket wheels and put them in the bottom of the boat shed. Satisfying work when you have the time.

I also put the original spare back in and thanks to other members posting about it, I cleaned and lubricated the plug for the locking spare tire lowering thingy access port.?

Man, they sure seem big for 32s! ?

After taking off the taller, wider tires, my truck was looking a little too top-heavy with the rifle cases and other gear on the roof rack. So, this morning, off it all came. Things were pretty dirty up there and it needed a good cleaning.

IMG_7206.jpeg

A quick trip to the coin-op car wash and things were looking good. So, it was off to farmer’s market for some fresh veggies and a side trip to the food truck for lunch before a stop along the beach for some sun.

It certainly looks a little more “clean cut” than it did a few days ago. ✨

Well Loren, I admit these changes have all the markings of someone reverting to stock before trading it in but until they have a PHEV SuperCab 6g Tremor, I’m happy with my 5g. But it’s funny that you mention it because there was a blue 6g at the local Ford dealer here at the cottage and I stopped to get a good look. I parked mine right in front of the showroom just to mess with the sales folks. :D

But no, I’m not ready yet. I cleaned up the aftermarket wheels (inside and out), put new piping/gaskets on the fender flares, cleaned up the rifle cases and the roof rack, gave the cases and the fender flares a couple treatments of 303, and my next project is to clean up and re-paint my Westin side steps. While the truck is looking rather gentlemanly at the moment, everything will be put back on for a more appropriate total dirtbag look for the winter. ?

I just need to get my General Grabbers road force balanced before it can all come together. For now, I’m enjoying the ease at which I can chirp those factory tires. ?

Got the tires rotated in my garage, kind of a pita... I need a lift ? for my next upgrade

Got some goodies inbound, waiting on their arrival, molle panel for the bed, hood brackets for ditch lights, differential cover, some flag decals for the fender vent area, etc

Installed Eibach Pro-Truck Sport Shocks, had front alignment & adjusted headlights. Wanted to level running boards so I set front at 1.5", still slight rake but not like stock. May change to 2.25" later. Installed rear body down shaft up, just preferred the look that way. Need to adjust the boot.

Installed a new battery. Went to leave work and surprise lol. Used my jump box and off to Walmart for a new one. Original lasted 77k miles on a 2020.
Still have the original.12.68 volts static and drops to 11.5 when I start the motor.?

Even though I am in waiting for my (Upholstery Shop) modification on my driver's seat cushion.
Preventive maintenance timing of oil change came due - 15,000 mile.
so completed that and now have another 5,000 to go for the next.

I will say I tried the Motivx oil filter socket works great, no slippage like the other brands I have tried, and the PLUS is that the extension block on the socket is deigned to hold the extension back and not allow it to push all the way through to the filter.
As with the other brands the extension will hit the filter, and it pushes the socket back just enough that when trying to remove the filter the socket wants to slip and spin. (Crappy Design)

The Motivx Socket eliminates that frustrating design.

I reinstalled my cab spoiler: the silicone adhesive that came with it hadn't cured after 3 days so I pulled it off, re-lined it with 3M VHB double-sided tape and used some Loctite 495315 adhesive/sealant.

Instead of weights or tape, I cinched it down with a ratchet strap. Nice & tight all around.
