I finally got around to removing the rear headrests.

Funny. I drove sleeper birth semis, 102" wide by 70 ft long, for ~3.5 million miles with no rear window, only West Coast & 5" fish eye mirrors, but I gotta have the CoPilot 360-equipped Ranger's rear window COMPLETELY UNOBSTRUCTED!

It appears you and I have had similar careers, and have similar idiosyncrasies in that department.
Glad you've made it out intact.

Nothing......I haven't even driven my Ranger in 10 days. ? But I did get to watch my gf drive off to the store in it. Scary part is even though she now lives here and has been coming here for over 10 years she still doesn't know where she's going.

She doesn't know it but I can track here on the Ford app which is better than an ankle monitor. :giggle:

Autonomous convoys, (pilot rig w/two or more drone rigs; 8+ trailers, 3 tractors, one driver) on the way, Electronic Logging Devices or "Eavesdropping Licensed Daycare", more loads being tracked real time via RFID/5g, time to get out.

Past time to get out, if you are able.
I'm out since 2008, and don't miss it at all anymore. I will admit I did when I first sold the truck, but I soon got over it and moved on with my life.
Sleeping at home in your own bed is NOT overrated! :)

Today I removed the FX4 decals. for now I am going naked. I have a set of the grayed out FX4 decals I might put on. or I might find another set of originals. I am undecided on what I like.
I do know from taking measurements that the pass side was on crooked. always thought it looked funny. so that was my primary motive.

I notice every truck I see has some sort of blatant advertising for whatever the trim level happens to be. not sure when this got so prominent as I had Ford trucks in the 80's and 90's and I dont remember big stickers on the bed. not sure if I like them or not. I am just so used to seeing them now that once I peeled mine off I first thought, what have I done... But I do like a clean truck.
and since I swapped out the shocks and coil overs with Fox am I really an FX4 anymore?

oh boy oh boy

You still have the skid plates lol but I hear ya. Interesting how much bigger that panel looks when half of it isn't covered in graphics.

Little late, but this weekend i added my weather tech bed cover, grille, and alpha rex lights.

Usually when i get done with something i like to look back and admire what i had done, but the hours taking off the front to get the lights & grille in made me so happy to just go to bed i didnt even look at what i did. Then the next morning gettin up for work and lookin at what i did, made me stop and admire.

I def like it over the stock tremor grille and lights especially since mine is an xlt, but lord please dont have me do this for a long time.

Tomorrow im gonna slice half of the crash bars off for fitting bigger tires on there. Goin with RTR wheels and 33"x12.5 tires.

i miss when they were actually badges, not some cheap looking sticker.

I love the SVT and Lightning badges on my 04', wouldnt be the same with a sticker.

Looks good! I planned on doing the grill since I first ordered my truck back in the spring, but since I got it in June I have to say the Lariat grill in magnetic with the sport appearance package looks pretty sharp and I'm second guessing which one I want. In addition to the fact that getting the stock one off sounds like a royal pain. Maybe you fine folks can help me decide...

The grille by itself is maybe 15min at most, hardest part is the pushpins and the air dam between the grille.
The tabs (if youre not an idiot like me) are also easy once you figure out which way to push them out.

I loved my tremor grille but for some reason the ford badge bothered me, but i liked the magnetic grey look on it so i had my raptor grille painted in it by ford ($112), but kept the letters black.

This vid is good for instructions.

Also fwiw the raptor grille only had 4 brackets that snap back in, compared to the at least 6 or 8 tabs on the oem grille. Mine doesnt move, but did find that odd.

Thanks, I've watched that vid a few times and had planned to buy through stage3 if I pull the trigger on it. I hear you on the Ford emblems. I had my front and rear wrapped in black.

Finished up installing the Amp powersteps last night. Very pleased with them so far. Swapped out the included LED's with Lux rock lights (which definitely appear to live up to their reputation) and passed the wires through the open holes in the bottom of the rockers for a clean install. Seems Ford also scratched about a few dozen body plugs on the '21's.

Update: forgot to include a night shot. These lux rock lights are nice!
