Hi Folks,

Took the Ranger to the UPS store today as more meds delivered to the mail box and not our home...sheesh!

Anyway...post reflash of the PCM has shown that I have a very different Ranger than before relative to cold starts. It is a totally different vehicle. No surging...silky smooth operation. Why the vehicle could not have been delivered with this calibration is beyond me. I am saddened that 2019 Rangers suffered needlessly with marginal driveability. I place the blame for this poor performance on the same manager that accepted the abomination of an owners manual with its ommissions and inaccuracies and inconsistencies.

I could have sat in my office and never driven a Ranger during my time as head of Ranger...drive into work in my Lincoln...Drive home in my Linconl...totally clueless to driving a truck. I chose to drive Rangers every day almost. When something was not right....I gave direction to diagnose and to fix... it is called passion for the product...

Anyone with a 2019 should take advantage of the TSB 20-2339 if you have any cold start driveability concerns..be they engine or transmission.

Best,

What kind a mount are you using? Was it easy to install?
That is the BuiltRight Industries center dash mount. I think it's more for mounting tablets, phones, GoPro cameras, and GPS. But it worked out great for this application. It was actually very easy to install, taking only 5 minutes to install the mount.

BuiltRight hit a home run with this one in my opinion. Very versatile. It's very easy to install (as long as you don't mind drillng a few holes). I use one with a RAM mount system for the phone right now. Looking at adding a dashcam pretty soon. I drive ALOT in the metro ATL areas and see some crazy stuff on the interstates...

Yay! Another ATL person.

I was very unhappy about drilling into the tray because I don't have the rubber insert described in their instructions or their website to cover it up. But it was easy to install. I have room for maybe adding a GPS mount or a tablet in the future too.

Yeah...same here...I just have the tray insert. I really like the RAM mount as far as stability and looks as well. I think there is a post somewhere on here about that...can't remember.

And yes...another ATL area person!! Starting to see alot more Rangers on the road (I'm out towards Athens)

Also, after seeing your setup...I don't think you had any reservations about drilling any holes into the truck...LOL

I added front letters to the Ranger, but I slightly screwed up on the last letter.

First off, I think overall it looks great and the first five letters went on perfectly and easily. The last letter, I don’t know if I got a little careless, or the light was bad, but I put it on just a hair off line. I did not notice it at first, but then I did. Then I thought maybe people would not notice it, but after I took a picture of it, I knew they would and even worse I would.

I heated it up and removed it and put it on properly, but the surface of the letter was slightly damaged in the process.

I have ordered the letters again. At least it comes with two R’s in case I screw up again.

The pics show the before, the screwed up R and then the straightened R.

I get the tailgate letters on Saturday. It was a good lesson, but it is also a little scary now. Perhaps being larger they will be easier, but I now know they have to be put on perfect, a hair off perfect is not good.It would be a more expensive do over if I make an error.
