I think it's because of the Mavs tricked out bed, with gate setting to hold up the plywood. The ranger requires acrobatics. Not too hard, but not 'turn key' like the mav.
Good looking color comboHad my Maverick for several weeks now and been traveling to some acreage we just closed on a few hours out of town. I find the seating more comfortable and really love the hybrid mileage. Was a great change for me but everyone has different needs.

Yes the black package looks great with cactus grey, they did take the chrome off the fender badge but still have the chrome lug nuts, which I have since changed out.Good looking color combo

That oversight has been corrected on 6G Rangers.
When I haul long stuff in my bed I usually put some 2x4s or something in the bed onto the closed gate to have something to support the material, so it sits on something and doesn't chew up the spray in liner.
Poked around a bit on the 2025 Mav build site. You can't get a Lariat FX4. Thats a real bummer. The FX4 would give you skid plates, AT tires, larger radiator, and drive mods for sand, mud, etc. That's a real bummer to not have the option on the Lariat without going up to the Tremor, but I guess that what they want you to do.
The Mav tailgate can be set in a half-way open position. 4x8 plywood can be put on top of the wheel wells and supported by the tailgate.
