Some Valet driver dinged my rear bumper just enough to touch the sheetmetal on one side, so I just bought an ARB bumper & put it on. My daughter is in the hospital & I was parked in their lot, some lady tried to swing a 1 ton van in those tiny parking places & clipped my front end, the amazing thing is, she called security & reported it & her insurance is paying for it. She could have just driven off and was very apologetic, I just thanked her for doing the right thing & not to worry about it. That's 2500 bucks worth of damage.

My partner had something similar happen 3 days after she got her new outback.... The guy tried to pretend it didn't happen but a good Samaritan stayed with her car until she came out of the store.

The body shop didn't replace her headlight, they just "buffed it out" and that hid some of the damage didn't fix it.... Just an FYI check the clear lens for any damage at all...

Wait , both of those cant be true , if the TG is fine and working properly (raises and lowers without any resistance in either direction and can be done quickly instead of just waiting around for it to finally happen) then the Damper must have been damaged or knocked off in crash , IF THAT IS THE CASE , you should start feeling more manly and may regain some arm strength ... you'll certainly regain some respect...
Until they hear he is a former damper user... Once a user, always a user.

People just follow too close to pickup trucks in small cars with no ability to see what's happening beyond the larger truck. When someone gets too close, I just leave a lot of space between myself and the car in front.
I was pulling into the farmer's market recently (yes, same place where the Korean girl backed into my Ranger). There was a lady in a BMW convertible waiting to pull out. As I made the right turn into the driveway, she began to pull out. I knew there was no way she could see around me to see what traffic might me coming. I braced myself for what I thought sure was going to be a T-bone. I heard a lot of screeching then angry horn, but she must have barely made it. I have no idea what she was thinking.

Just recently got mine back after 7k in damage from a distracted driver rearending me. I wish I could post the video but its too large.
The good news is its fully repaired and I realized how much I love my truck after not having it for 2 weeks. Still awaiting my diminished value claim from Geico.

In April this year I was stopped behind a school bus. I could see the guy coming up behind for a half mile and he wasn’t slowing. I just thought to myself motherfucker. He slammed on the brakes at the last moment and I felt wham. I got out, slammed my door, and said to the guy, “what is wrong with you”. “Oh, did I hit you?” Old man didn’t know what he’d even done. Luckily I had my shackle mount in the hitch and he was in a 90s sedan with bumper that sticks out in front. His bumper went under the shackle mount and hit his grill. He didn’t even reach the hitch. So after asking if he was ok I went on my way.

I'm gonna try and minimize that as much as possible. I'm going to the bodyshop thats doing the work tomorrow to work out the details.

Some people REALLY suck. Hopefully the idiot that backed into you had about 3 flat tires on the way home.... all three of which could not be repaired. And damaged two wheels beyond repair. And got the runs from whatever he had for dinner. Otherwise, wish him the best. You know, that karma thing and all.
It's bad here lots of uninsured drivers and hit and runs. I installed Tyger extra wide steel running boards to fend off door dings and then somebody also hit me in a parking lot yesterday He did some damage but that running board definitely took a bite back. Looks like it did some shaving.

Not going to lie I was little depressed and a bunch of stuff playing this weekend for the b-day and I think it went through all the levels of grief over the course of like 7 hours.

Just throwing this out there from a southern california driver. I bought the Harbor Freight Tow hook/ball combo. It sticks out like 4-6 inches past the reciever. It has collected a few dings instead of my bumper. I find that people don't like getting close to it either in traffic. $30 dollar investment to get a little extra space.

My "step" took a hit from a Toyota minivan in a parking lot. They didn't even back off. I walked up to see it still one with the thing in the pic. It tore up their plate and bumper. I saw no damage after looking over it a few times. Even the locking hitch thing is fine/not binding up.

It is not shiny anymore. Probably need to repaint it soonish.

Parts ordered, I take it in Tuesday. The guy said they wouldn't have it long, so I'll be driving the R32 for a couple days I guess lol .

Morgan I know this has probably been said before but you don't look old enough to drive. Take that in a good way. :like:

Ok I need to vent!!

Probably a first world problem, AND I am choosing to "modify" them so I get it, but I am really getting frustrated with Fords quality!! As most know, when I first got my truck, I got the tail lights tinted. While they were being tinted it was discovered the P/S tail light was cracked. So I ordered a new one, and same thing, unfortunately discovered AFTER tinting. So I decided to live with it for a while. Well because of the accident, insurance covered the tail light . The bodyshop has gotten 3 tail light now, all cracked (before tinting). and it's not just my Ranger, apparently a couple F-250's they recently did also had cracked tail light issues. I doubt is has anything to do with scuffing the light or anything, I have had multiple lights tinted and this has never been an issue. Now I have a feeling the bodyshop is not gonna want to tint the tail light if they can get one not cracked.
