Got one of the little bastards on 10/8. Thankfully it just took out my driver's side driving light. Still got some hair stuck to the leading edge of the D/S 'step" as a reminder.
Hopefully that light is easy to fix.

James, actually it was a pita. One or so steps from being able to remove headlights.

I turned around to see if I could find it, no luck. It looked like it kicked up some gravel before heading into the woods. So yeah, went home empty handed.
That's pretenderized meat. you're going to want to get your buck knife and ice scraper. find that puppy in the woods.

On a serious note, the deer processor I like using has a part about "road deer" being accepted for processing, but meat quality not being guaranteed hahaha

I recently moved to my hunting cabin. My county has the highest deer density rate in the state. As a deer hunter that's great, as a driver it's scary. It's probably a matter of time before I hit one. Do after market bumber guards work when you it a deer? I'm seeing damage on hoods, side of vehicles, etc.
Those things are dangers in themselves. Your car and truck are designed to absorb impact and smooth the deceleration with the use of crumple zones. Putting a rigid guard on the front negates that, and means the likelihood of injury to yourself and others is much higher in the event of an accident.

If you think they aren't strong enough to negate a crumple zone, they are likely not strong enough to deflect a 200lb deer at 55mph.

I'd imagine you could go "deer hunting" with this setup...
