I think this is along the lines of the cat cage made out of rebar. Just an unnecessary step for most of us.

My best tip would be to keep your keys at the back of your house. Thieves know most people put their keys down at the front door and will scan there for an easy victim.

Thirteen minutes just to say, "your keyless entry fob is always transmitting and theives can record and duplicate the frequency to steal your car. If you wrap your fob in foil or a Faraday pouch they can't do it anymore."

I know there's showmanship and all, but that should've been a 2 minute video.

He mentioned that new technology allows theft range of over 300 feet...

This is why I hate the push button start....wife has it on her 2020 Escape, and I just can't get a good feeling of security using it. I'll take a key over it any day!
You'd think the fob and vehicle would recode each time used like modern garage openers...

We got a small treasure chest by the front door for keys. I lined it with lead sheet and then felt. Looks pretty cool as it has seen years of use.
I think the danger is that they can capture your vehicle code and user information anywhere you go...airport, public places, etc...then hit your home later...that's where the Faraday pouch comes into play for protection...

Can’t stop them all but the impatient ones usually move on if the target becomes difficult.

When I was still living at my parents house back in the 60’s a guy down the end of my street had a full dress Harley. That was his pride and joy. Bike was alarmed, garage was alarmed and had bars of the windows. Doors were hard bolted and padlocked.

They figure it was 4 big guys to pull this off. The entered through garage window after cutting power to the garage. Then they removed the entire window casing. Then passed the bike through the window and then disappeared.

Yeah but then you need one of these if you're going to carry a Faraday Bag around with you.
