Who wins lowest miles per gallon due to upgrades? Obviously the smiles per gallon go up!

I have 30in ko2s, Injen exposed intake, Turbosmart blow off valve, removed the front two little air dams, didn’t replace the rubber around the tow hooks, etc.

I get 13.9 mpg…

but 139 smiles per gallon.

Probably get better mileage if you kept your foot out of it. Granted it's not as much fun but you'd get more to a tank.

None of the minor things I've done will add MPG to my truck, as none are performance related so far and only really add weight and smiles for me personally. Aside from the running boards, my wife doesn't care about what I'm doing to the truck, she just smiles at me and lets me do the little things that make me happy...so more smiles for me :)
I get a solid 24 mpg, but have to really strain to reach 25 mpg.

I think OP is confused on the tire size.

Tremor has 32s stock.

Fx4 comes with 265/60r18
Ko2s I have are 265/65r17 +01
The thicker edge on the ko2 plus the offset cause it to rub I believe.
You shouldn't be getting that bad of MPG then.

Sounds like you need to address your driving habits.

Nice looking truck. Do you have the offset for those rims? Just logging it into my DB. :)

obviously driving habits affect your gas milage. but KO2's are also VERY heavy tires. that has a big impact of mpg's as well. as I recall they're something like 15-20lbs heavier than the stock tires, each.

the hot air intake is certainly not going to help either...

There are a ton of members here rocking 33" KO2s and similar tires without getting such a bad MPG hit.

A Tremor on the 32" grabbers typically gets 21-22 highway. 17-19 city.

My FX-4 came with 265/65 17s @30.5 inches.

The Tremor came factory with 32" tires.

Why did you get smaller than stock tires? Seems silly to downgrade tire size on a Tremor?

Yes it's your aftermarket wheels causing the rubbing

Exactly, my E rated 33" Toyos return about 18-19ish mpg and I drive like an asshat.

At some point it is no longer is MPG and becomes PPM... "poverty per mile."
That said, I do think my truck likes midgrade much better than regular (likes premium too but not remarkably better than midgrade). My MPG is 20 with midgrade BP.
