Regarding shift inprovements.
What are the details? Anyone know.
Are there two tunes or does the Ranger run everything through 1 ecu? The GTI can get two tunes. ECU and TCU.

Well since Ford only has a PCM it is safe to say it is just one tune. Remember, more is not always better.

Never said two was better. Just a statement based on how a GTI is tuned. Lamborghini (owned by VW) uses a couple computers but has designed them to communicate so one central unit uses all inputs to control over all vehicle performance. One may be just as well. I am not an expert here so not judgment on my end.

I am also curious about what the tune will do to the differences between "Drive" and "Sport." Do they both get improved shifting and "drive-ability"? In other words, does the present "Drive" become the present "Sport," while the present "Sport" becomes "Super-Sport"? Or does it move them both up to the point where they become indistinguishable? I have been running 93 octane and drive in "Sport" most of the time, and so to boost that up another notch would be unbelievable! I have already put my order in and am eager to put the tune to the test, but any input or information would be appreciated....

My 2019 Rabbit GTI only has one tune, some GTI tunes are piggyback so technically it could have two tunes on one ECU but with a 6yr 72,000mi bumper to bumper warranty im not going to take a chance of voiding any part of it with any kind of aftermarket tune and will only do the Ford tune on my Ranger.
And yes it's Lamborghini Corn Flower Blue one of 1000 in the United States.

Tune it, you dont know what you are missing out on! My 2017 is Stage 2 Unitronic + JB4 stack , should be making at least 350 HP. Full bolt ons as well (intercooler, DP, intake, Inlet pipe, etc).

Mine runs like a scalded dog, taken it to 140 mph+ plenty of times., spanks all the local cars as well, even the V8 guys, they dont like that. I could easily go IS38 for 400/400.

I even have Geico MBI that will pay out even if I blow up the engine. I beat the piss out of it the other day up a mountain and power was strong all the way up thanks to the massive intercooler upgrade.

What's nice about it is that you can dial in the speedo to be exact or slightly off if that is your preference. When I picked up my truck after wheels/tires were installed I noticed traffic passing me on the highway so I grabbed an old GPS and found that even though the Hypertech was used the speedo was off by 4-5 mph. Turns out the calibrator was for an F-150 and I assume that the gearing is different. So even though the installer put in the right tire diameter it was off. I have to enter in 31.25 diameter vice actual diameter of 33.0 in order to the speedo to read correctly.

I do know what exactly what I'm missing and don't miss it anymore. I have owned a lot of very fast high hp cars, street & track.
I'm now in my 60's I'm taking it a bit easier and paying my wife of 35yrs back for all those cars and dollars spent by not dumping money into go fast stuff. I consider the Ford tune to be exactly what I want, +60ftlb @ 2200rpm, helps me forget the trailer in back ?
