Ok, so having to plow snow in reverse with my rear-mounted passive snow blade, I keep getting the annoying beeping due to rear sensors or camera detecting the snow blade as on obstacle. When first hitting reverse, I see the option to disable the parking assist by pressing OK on the left steering wheel button. Seemed to work once, but then kept beeping without giving me the option to turn it off after several forward - reverse shifts. How can I effectively yet temporarily disable the annoying beeping? This is an XLT 2021.

To turn off the parking sensors (beeping) just press the button with the P in front of your shifter. It defaults back on when you turn off your truck though.

The button to disable the sensors is only equipped if you have the FRONT parking sensors. My truck only has the REAR sensors and it has no such button.

I think you can tell the truck you have a short trailer (1.5 feet or some such) and it'll turn off the sensors (for bike racks, etc). I've never actually tried this, but it sounds good. ?

I never knew that was something Ford did. Weird that the rear ones seem to function as an independent system from the fronts.
I maybe wrong but I think if you have the towing package (which I do), then the alarm can be manually switched off?

Hi James,

I think I was able to turn mine off. I went to the”Driver Assist” menu. I accessed it using the arrow keys on the left hand side of the steering wheel. Then deselect “Rear Park Aid.” I don’t know if this will reset every time or not. Good luck with the snow!
Edit: I don’t have the front parking sensors or the button on the center console either.

Here’s what I did:
