Tune affected when disconnecting the battery?

The other day my radio had a glitch in it and I disconnected the ground for about 30 minutes to reboot the system, and when I reconnected it, it was fine. My phone was even still recognized. Does anyone know that if you have a tune installed it would be erased or changed by this procedure? I'm thinking on getting a tune, but wouldn't want to if it would be compromised by the disconnecting of the battery.

You have your answer, but just FYI the tune is installed in an EPROM (erasable, programmable, Read Only Memory) and does not lose data when power is removed.
