Just looked at the "fix" you are definitely going to be losing boost, that's intake air post-turbo. If anything this is just masking the symptoms of some bigger issue and reducing the effectiveness of the turbo.
Omg I lost a whopping 40lbs of boost... SMH...

Trust me your not loosing that much boost with such a small hole. I've done this both on my 14 eco F150 and now my Ranger. I've had zero issues with the turbo or excessive lag. Bought the 14 F150 new and drilled in way back in 2015. Are we masking an issue here.... Ya bet, Ford made such a damn efficient intercooler that I cools the charge temp so well that when you park the vehicle and the excess heat from the engine bay and radiator creates condensation or rain out inside the intercooler. That excess has no where to go but into the cylinders thereby creating the stumble that most of us have experienced. Ford has not addressed this and more than likely will not. It's Ford's fault for making such an outstanding Intercooler that does its job very well. Just wished they would put a drain plug in it for us. However, I know that they had to make it Idiot proof... as some idiot would leave it open and really lose a lot of boost.

Koons ford in sterling Virginia fixed up my Ranger in hours after having it towed there for free. Ford service is always great. I did drill the weep hole the day after getting it back and have been running great since with no noticeable loss of boost. Do what you want but this is my experience and I’m glad for this solution.

Your profile picture is from Monocacy National Battlefield. Very cool! My brother in law's family dairy farmed there until it was bought by NPS. They still farm the ground.
