I'm getting a transmission fluid smell when I run the heat for a period of time on my 2019 STX. No signs of leaks and I've looked everywhere from the ground up. I just did a relearn on the gearing and I changed out the fluid and filter a couple months ago. Transmission is whirling along the best it has since I bought it. Only thing I can think of is I may have spilled a very little bit putting in some fluid (have the extended tube to the engine bay).

Is it over filled? If it's just a little over filled it will come out the vent up top.

Could be lithium grease in the HVAC box. See this thread.

I guess it's possible. It was low after I changed it and I had to add more to smooth out the shifting (which it did). I've looked all over for signs of a leak etc and found none. Where to look?

When I overfilled mine, I never saw a leak. Just smelled it. I sucked a bit out and it went away.
