Well, I was ready to pull the trigger and told the dealership that I didn't have all day, but they said 3 hours would be plenty of time. After 3 days of back and forth with the dealer, we agreed on a price for the trade and set an appointment. Drove an hour there and surprise, the truck was in a distribution lot 2 hours away and I had to sign a contract before they'd bring it down.

Every 5 or 10 years when I'm ready to buy a new car, I forget what a bad experience it is. So, I'm keeping the Tremor and I'm fine with that decision. Probably makes sense to wait a few years till the depreciation curve flattens out, anyway.
Utter ??

And they wonder why we call them stealerships.

When my $12,000 OTD 1988 Ranger XLT was five years old, I started going to dealerships to look at new ones. The prices keep going up, and the truck quality kept going down. When my truck was 20 years old, the dealers would rave about how nice mine was, so they kind of talked me into keeping it just one more year. Thirty-six year later, I finally bought a preowned 2021 Lariat and sold my 88, private party, for $3,000. I’ll be long gone before this truck turns 36, but we’ll see.
