This was a good catch, and your eyes weren't tricking you. The rubber strip that separates the bumper above the fog lights are positioned slightly differently on each side. Not sure I'll bother getting it fixed, I barely notice it in person.

If you are handy its a fairly easy fix. IT does require popping off the front lower plastic valance. Thats just held in by friction clips, a good trim removal tool and its off in a couple minutes.
then there are three nuts on each side that hold the bumper to the frame. loosen them a little and there is quite a bit of up/down play in the bumper.

Sweet, thank you. Didn't realize it's an easy fix. I'll definitely do it.

Also thinking of ordering a catch can for the engine.

Man, that’s a pretty good price. Time for me to go look around some dealerships for unsold ‘22 Rangers or 150’s that maybe I can get a good deal on.

Speaking of haggling, when I bought mine, I had already gone through CarMax to assess my trade-in value (this dealer is a CarMax partnered drop-off location) so, they had to honor the trade value, which was about $2K more than they offered. I had $ in hand, so I didn't need their financing. I didn't want any of their add-ons, had insurance ready to transfer. They brought out the sales contract and it had a $900 "processing fee" listed. I asked them why that was there and they said it's for all of the paperwork and financing and all that. "Which I did." Then they said, "Oh, it's mandatory." My answer to that was "None of this is mandatory and got up and walked out. Before I got my seat belt on, they came out and said they'd take that off. The audacity almost made me walk away anyway.

Have you taken it for a ride? Did you notice a difference?
Yeah, made a noticeable difference. The rear end isn't nearly as squishy/wallowy. Good $200 spent.

Good to here. I have been thinking about doing that myself. The rear I can handle easily, but I'm nit sure about me doing the front.

Man this is so crazy for me to read. The Ranger market is so hot where I live you could probably buy it MSRP there and flip it for a few thousand over here in Vegas lol. There haven't been any here since I bought mine. (I've been looking out of curiosity.)

This is a true story about a real Cactus Gray truck. The dealership I ultimately bought mine from had three tucks come in for customers that backed out (ADM I presume.) Mine, a cactus gray fx4, and a red 4x2.

I saw them come online on a Thursday night. I called and made an appointment to see the cactus gray truck at 8a on Friday. When I got to my appointment at 930 the cactus had SOLD.

And you bet my sorry butt also paid extra ?.

I hope for all of our sakes you end up paying under as much or MORE than I paid over. ($1500)
Man, I still have to say yours is one good looking truck and the blacked-out package is the icing on the cake!

It's definitely worth it. The rear end feels way more planted. You don't even have to jack the truck up to do it. I'm happy with the way it rides now and probably won't bother with doing the fronts.

i'm confused. how was that 39k msrp? my 2021 fx4 loaded XL (not an xlt but has most everything one does) brand new was 36k OTD in june 21. MSRP on it was 35,585 incl destination. What do you have that i don't have that's worth another 4k MSRP?

https://www.fredmotorco.com/new-inv...make=Ford&reset=InventoryListing&model=Ranger

is the link to it i believe. your is XLT 301a mine is XL 101 BUT i have 5k in options that gets me most of what you have and i have the locker/fx4.

so what am i missing?
I bought my Lariat in June 22 after my XLT order kept getting delayed. A 4x4 Screw XLT with a few options gets to $40k easily. And that was almost a year ago.

To the OP, damn good buy. I live about 2 hours east of Frederick MD.....$2k under MSRP is the best deal I've heard of since I started shopping over a year ago. Congrats!!
