I have thought about making a set similar to Caltracs. But haven’t gotten around to it yet. My truck is a 4x4 though so I use that for launching if I don’t want spin.

my truck is 2wd and my 0-60 times are less than stellar consistent 5.7 seconds range , if I brake boost over 2k I get a bunch of wheel spin, darn dragy is addicting.

Are you using a locker? If you have an open diff I’d suggest dealing with making both wheels turn before trying to add traction bars.

I guess I am not used to leaf springs, dislike how the truck winds up on brake boost and how it feels like a cadi floating along when it hits second and third gears

Did you ever find a solution for your Ranger? I am getting axle wrap while towing under extreme conditions, resulting in a broken drive line due to the u-bolt binding against itself.

I have my leaf springs clamped in front to control axle wrap, it made a big difference for me and it helped equal out the leaning my truck did side to side.
I’d still like a better solution but in the end a link suspension with coilovers is calling my name.

i had to do same to mine. did front and back of the leafs just to be sure it was gonna stay where it should.

spicer / dana also makes upgraded u joints for our trucks that are a heavier duty part. some place i have a thread about it but the search never works right when i try it.

”Extreme conditions “ seems like an understatement.

Good News Calvert racing will make the traction bars for the Ranger $419 -$469 depends on if the axle is over or under the springs and 1 to 2 days turnaround time, only issue I see is how to press out the front leaf bushing
