Hey all,

Planning on towing for the first time in about 2 weeks - Uhaul 6x12 trailer filled with a mattress, bed frame, and some other furniture/items for my one bedroom move

I don’t anticipate the trailer will get too heavy at all. The truck currently sits level with icon 2.5 coilovers in the front, and rear 2.0 shocks. I have no idea if it will squat or not, or if this will be any issue.

Does anyone anticipate any issues here? Kind of a broad question lol. I’m curious to know if being leveled with coilovers has effected anyone’s towing too much.

I wouldn't expect any issues with what your towing. If you are level unloaded, it will squat though. UHaul trailers are notoriously nose heavy. Just keep the trailer level as possible and drive the speed limit.

I'd guess you will see some squat and if you drive at night you will be super annoying to anyone coming the other way.

Doubt it's dangerous...... but... it is one reason my leveling kit is still in the garage and not on the truck yet.

Like others noted, it will look squatted to a degree. A stock truck would likely look leveled with that uhaul trailer behind it for reference. Ditto on the night driving causing oncoming drivers to get sun spots temporarily. Should be fine otherwise. If it appears too squatted with an empty trailer, uhaul may not rent it to you. Some uhaul places more picky than others.

Chances are you will get quat in the rear. Make sure you have the correct drop hitch for the trailer and make sure it is loaded correctly. That will help keep the trailer sway down. As for time of the day to tow, I say do the daytime only. The lights will blind others and the front will want to loose traction at high speeds thanks to the dog squat. Simply be careful

Seems like the general consensus is to just be careful! This trailer is going to be so empty - I definitely don’t have a lot of stuff. Also, no plans to drive at night

Truck looks great - are you leveled/lifted? Assuming with those tires you are.

I have a leveled 2020 Lariat 4x4... just towed a U-haul from Western Colorado to Dallas, then to Austin. Those trailers are SO light, the biggest to do is make sure you get most of your weight in front of the trailer axel. We had a couple fairly heavy tables we put up in the front and that seemed to help with the bouncing. Also be sure to turn trailer mode on (if you have it) and the anti-sway. I was VERY impressed with this little truck towing. (My last truck was an F250 6.7L that we towed our 30' TT with). I didn't notice any squat or anything like that and barely any change in MPG. Good luck! Just slow down and be safe. :)

I have a rough country lift and have towed some pretty big loads, Zero Issues
a few weeks ago I got a picture at the scrap yard with 5100 lbs on my trailer plus the 5100 lbs of my truck
10200 and didnt know it was back there, I think you will do just fine :)
I probably use and abuse my truck more than most here, I will push it to its limits and take one for the team so we know just what we can get out of them :)

That is more than a little squat sir...... Either get different springs in the rear or get a WDH for the trailer. It will make the towing experience much more pleasant

I towed 1200 miles with a 2.5in level with 265/70r17 tires with no issues at all. The bed was crammed full of stuff as well.
