I did a quick search and didn't see where anyone had posted top speed in their stock Rangers. I don't know what my top speed is but I know it's at least 102 mph. Don't ask HOW I know, I just know!

And here I am looking for a firefly class transport designation ?

last time I I looked to find out how fast I could go was in my new Escape and a nice Mich State Trooper gave me a performance situation that cast me the same as 2 nights in a 5 star hotel.
I think I will let someone else find out for me

I have not pushed it much past ninety MPH, but I have noticed during freeway driving that it moves very quickly and quietly from, say, a perfectly legal sixty-five, to a dangerously ticket-worth ninety, almost before you are aware of it. This is great for getting away from drunken drivers, wavering semis, etc., but you really have to be mindful of the speedometer lest you get busted--or worse....

This is exactly what I was saying in the Ranger smile thread a little while ago. For the first time in years I've been thinking of getting a radar detector. This truck could be a trouble maker in the future.
And I'm old!

Damn I'm old and boring 75ish?
No you're wise...I'm 60ish and have too vivid of an imagination...what if a tire popped at that speed? A pickup truck would not fair well...
