I used a 265 75 R16 on my xlt and it was just perfect for that truck.

I put on a 265 70 R18 on my Lariat and it is just too much tire for me.

Lots of off road trails up at the cabins and as much as I like the look I think it is too much tire with out more investment in components and more lift. And I really don't want to go that direction.

My 22 XLT was more than adequate with the short ST Maxx tire

So I'm going to regroup and rethink this.

Sometimes you just gotta do that, and you're smart for realizing your situation and preparing to remedy it.
Good job!

Big tires and a lift, can't live without them, I like it when my hood is taller than the roof of most cars, I don't lose my truck in a parking lot LOL

Wait a minute, that sounds a lot like saving money and/or spending it carefully…you can’t do that here…tsk tsk how dare you sir!? how dare you!?
?
(I crack myself up?.)
The 16”wheel looks like more tire and I like that.. the size difference is about a solid inch 31 1/2 vs 32 1/2 figure this is a tire rubbing situation? Idk I’m just asking
Personally I think the smaller wheel more tire look (16” with 75 sidewall.) is more truck attractive bs the bigger wheel smaller tire (18” 70 sidewall).. regardless of if it’s 37 35 33 or smaller… shorts sidewalls have always been more for sports cars (excluding big boy drag racing rear tire/wheel combos obviously ?.) but that’s just my opinion.

Hope you it doesn’t hang you up from enjoying your truck for too long thinking about what to do… would the high clearance crash bars/intrusion bars fix the situation? (If it’s a rubbing situation.) or is it something else like.. you just prefer? Or the ride quality?
im just being nosey.

After some careful inspection of my front FX4 struts on my Lariat - I found a vertical and horizontal crack on the white plastic cap which Ford calls the bearing. At 35K miles on the truck, l think best to just replace both struts.

I really liked the ride on my XLT with the FOX 2.0 struts so I just purchased a set. I'm aware of the replacement at 50K or less but I really like the ride of that unit. Will still set the truck at 2" over stock up front and run the FOX rear shocks. When I get everything back together I'll post some pics with the new treads on too.
