I've seen some small scratches posts, so I thought I'd feature my truck's small scratch. You'd think bright yellow was camouflage with the way I hit that parking pole. Stay alert and safe out there.

Ah my arch-nemesis the Walmart yellow pylon. The bane of my existence. I lost count how many accident reports I've had to do because of those things.

Edit: And its only Walmart. Never get called to other business parking lots.

I appreciate all of the replies. This has been more entertaining than I anticipated. Kind of went off the rails with the last few posts hah... Insurance will be taking the hit, you can't see it but I went the sticker method on a smaller dent on that door, so now it seems only right to fix it properly. I'll post up a picture when she's all fixed up.

Those poles suck! Same thing happened to me a few months ago. Only had about 1200 miles on the truck when that pole jumped out at me and ripped the rear end out. Took about 2 months to fix, and I’m still waiting on the bed rail cap before it’s back 100%. (They broke a couple of clips when they pulled it off. It still works, just a little loose)

Damn, and I thought I smacked that pole hard. Looks like a classic empty parking lot drift smash to me. I'm really hoping mine is in the two week range and not two months. Currently using my buddies older 4cyl tacoma and i'm getting antsy to get back in the ranger.

Yeah, that’s sorta what happened. Went from the main road onto a road into corporate park, using this weird S-turn, jink. Entry speed was a little high and tires skidded instead of turning, and wham. Apparently the Ranger isn’t a Mustang. Who knew?

I have seen that scenario many times....those poles lurk just behind a link fence where there hard to see, just waiting, and then throw themselves into the side of an unsuspecting vehicle.
Definitely a case of "attempted pole suicide by vehicle". Either that or a case of intentional vandalism by pole !

We're lucky here; accidents on private property don't get a police report unless there's an injury.

Update: Got it back. Quoted on 9/3, took in to the shop 9/9 at 7am, received back 9/13 at 5pm. I'm pleased with the work. Hoping the grille and headlight tabs and any other hidden and easily breakable tabs aren't broken, but everything seems as secure as I left it. Really just stoked to get back in the truck. I didn't think I'd miss it this much. Total repairs $3,161.31.
