I’m about to switch to 16” factory steel wheels. I’m wondering what’s the largest size I can get with a 3” level and 1” block in the rear. I’m looking at three sizes. 235/85R16, 265/75R16, and the unlikely 285/75R16. I’m looking at these sizes because they come in the BFGoodrich Ko2. Any input or wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

So get the numbers off of them and plug them in to that.

If you scroll down, you will find a chart of sizes that are the same, based on wheel size.

IDK what your stock wheels size is.

My stock wheel size is 18. I’m looking for larger tires. Not comparable in size.

I run 285/65/18's.....
285/75/16 is pretty much the same size.
you'll need to either remove or replace the intrusion beams
Just the front ones? Other than that is there any rubbing at full lock?

I have an XL, which came stock with the 16" wheels. I got a set of OEM 18" take-offs, with stock tires (both are the Bridgestones). I was quite surprised to see the overall diameter and width are nearly the same. The 18s are within 1/2" in diameter and (most surprisingly), maybe about 1/2" bigger width-wise.

Does Ford do this to avoid having to recalibrate the speedometer? Or do you need to worry about rubbing and loss of turning radius going bigger? As for the original question, given how tall the sidewall is on my stock 16s, I'd think they would look a bit goofy going much bigger in diameter. Now the 18s would look great with a taller tire.

I would do the tall skinnies, would look cool with the steel wheels. Should fit no problem
