Those who did a Battery change?

Use a 'Memory saver' 12v source to keep power on the system while changing the battery. I have a small Lithium battery that works well, doesn't require a heavy cable.

Will be replacing mine soon with an Interstate. Ford OEM batteries suck and cannot be relied on past 36 months as I have learned through my previous 4 Mustangs. I more worried about all the fuses and crap attached to the battery than losing memory.

I changed mine out last spring (less than 2 years old) and I believe I did lose some settings. I just went through everything after the install and a few things had to be set again.

I go up in the mountains to work on these 3 log cabins and I'm changing battery to an Odessey to use with an inverter for tools. Keeping OEM battery for back off. I was going to get a Yellow Top Optima but was having a tough time locating one.

When I disconnected my battery, I lost the window settings and the audio, Bass Treble settings but not the station memory presets. Maybe the time settings too.

This is suppose to be reliable. Being off grid and alone in the mountains on some of these trips - I certainly don't want my battery to give me trouble.

I have a set of Odyssey batteries in my 2000 F250 diesel. I installed them in 2010 and they are still going strong! Just my opinion, but they are worth every penny.

Have one in my 2007 E 250 and going strong too. About 4 years on it.

I am still having good luck with the stock AGM so I will just leave it for now, but sooner or later will switch it out for a larger stronger battery, I normally have a lot of crap plugged in because I am a Ham Radio Operator, if I PTT on my Icom I can Dim the lights LOL
I will look for a stronger AGM from now
find all the lose wires under your hood and tie them all together, that should give an extra 10 HP?

I replaced my dead battery a week ago...lost the driver auto up/down window mode...don't know what else was lost...
