Someone needs to start pushing Lubeguard Platinum and a real transmission dip stick over there.

We're all familiar with the 10R80's ummm... quirks and how to manage ($$$) the engineering/manufacturing shortfalls.

With mine paid off and modified/upgraded as much as it has been I'm more likely to drop a little more into it to keep it in spite of the lack of a heated steering wheel or limitations of the 5G engine.

I think that's what separates us 5G owners from the 6G noobs.

Eli, now that you've had your new 6th Gen Ranger for almost a year how do you like it?

How does it compare to both your other 5th Gen Rangers?
I love this truck! I would say "ill keep it till the wheels fall off" but like many newer vehicles, "ill keep it till the transmission blows up!" Really nice truck, it keeps track of all the miles driven by trailer, intergrated brake controller, the big screen really grew on me. Nice for maps. Wider, longer, not but by much but enough. Still clunks when the transmission is cold. The slippery mode is awesome when pulling something stuck with the lockers turned on. Almost like a low gear. I drive in sport mode a lot.
It tows so nicely! Of course the first i did was get the RAS,road active suspension, it works so well! And got the GEN-Y GLYDER HITCH! Its a torsion hitch and smooth as butter. Integrated brake controller was very important for me.
Bad....
Electric fans. Id prefer clutch driven. Factory tires are coming apart on me. No tow hooks. Paid 200 bucks for one hook. They are of a weird design meant to hold the intercooler too. Small aftermarket supply of stuff. Bed rail plastics leak water like a screen door on a submarine!!!! So i have had to remove them, cover holes and use silicone, plastic trim seals and ac duct tape. Lots of holes in the bed to seal with tonneau cover on. Really bad design. Got them all covered though. And in tow mode, its not as aggressive slowing down like the 5g. Thats about it,
Really nice truck. Should have had this from the beginning in NA.

Been driving around in normal mode past few days. Even the wife commented, it jumps a lot. Yep. But not in sport, or tow, and buttery smooth in slippery mode.

I like it, and I would drive it. One like that in velocity blue with 4wd and a towing package is what I'm looking at as a replacement for the current truck. After I've gotten the good out of this one first lol.

Can’t understand why the issues with the trans are not fixed as it looks like they still have the same problems. Maybe they can’t be fixed or they just don’t give a $hit since there still selling..

Likely a bean counter somewhere that pointed out that it's cheaper to piss off customers by selling them junk and then ignoring their complaints than it is to fix an engineering issue in something that is already in production.
