Best wishes on the repair, Duke!Good advice but I bet I could bring one of the posts down with some bailing twine and a fat kid on a tricycle.

Thanks for the kind offer - much appreciated. I think I saw David lurking around the back alley already, peering over the fence, eyeballin’ my debris pile.Good luck with the repairs, Duke, and let me know if you need a second set of hands or a second truck to haul stuff...of course, maybe @subquark & Soupie want to take a vacation and explore some new dumps!
Definitely looks like a need for some treated lumber here. I'm sure Duke will do it right.Good advice but I bet I could bring one of the posts down with some bailing twine and a fat kid on a tricycle.

OMG, that invokes one of my best childhood memories. A neighborhood bully who was too big and too fat to be on my tricycle, demanded I let him ride it. So he took it and riding with one leg on the back, kicked and kicked with the other leg to get it going fast. Steering physics took over and my little tricycle's front wheel went sideways, sending the bully headfirst to the pavement. I can still remember him standing there with blood pouring from his nose. Glorious!Good advice but I bet I could bring one of the posts down with some bailing twine and a fat kid on a tricycle.
You see, that’s what happens when you’re built like, well, a golfer.![]()
Maybe I could help ?
I already evicted the momma raccoon. She was clearly carrying a big litter and I was lucky to get her on her way before she gave birth.Ours rotted just like that. One day my wife was looking out the living room window and saw something climb down the corner post. Then another small animal followed. We looked out the window and 3 baby raccoons were playing in the front yard. Moma came back and all 4 scrambled up the post and squeezed through a rotted hole in the corner. They lived there a couple weeks and we watched the ceiling on the porch bowing down as they grew and played. Tore the whole thing down and replaced it after they moved out.
Yep…Definitely looks like a need for some treated lumber here. I'm sure Duke will do it right.
Damn , SuperCabs can really haul a load !Yep…
