Well, took a couple of test drive to show them the weird behavior, but they finally replaced my CDF drum and some. Here's the attached note that came with the repair.

Unfortunately, I don't have the truck anymore and I gave all the receipt and repairs to the new owner. Is there something you would like to know?

I can answer that!

Traded the Ranger?! :surprised: So what are you driving now?! Inquiring minds want to know.

Pics or it didn’t happen. 😁 Well, unless the new ride is a Taco. Please don’t post that pic. 😉 kidding, post away.

Hahaha not a Taco but it's big brother, the Tundra. Got a 2022 SR5 Tundra, TRD Offroad, crew cab with the 6 and a half foot bed. Try saying that fast three times lol.

I like it very much, the extra interior space is quite nice and I finally have a real bed! The extra size on the fuel tank is also a god send, I was able to get 1100km (700 miles) out of one tank.

I miss the nimbleness of the Ranger and the ability to pick a line when off-road, the trails are so tight that I can't really pick a line with the Tundra like I was able to before.

That's a long wheel base!
Oh Yeah! Upgraded the skid plate since I'm rubbing a lot more than before even if I have more ground clearance. It's also a pain downtown or making sharp turns. It feels like the Titanic lol.

FYI
For Rangers w/ CDF problems
The OASIS Part Coverage Tool is a Ford-specific system used by technicians to verify if a defective part is eligible for coverage under a vehicle's warranty or an Extended Service Plan (ESP).
https://www.google.com/search?client=firefox-b-1-d&q=OASIS+part+coverage+tool

and:
Ford issued TSB 24-2046 (and later TSB 25-2134) for 2019-2023 Ranger models with the 10-speed 10R80 transmission due to a faulty CDF clutch cylinder sleeve that can slide and cause harsh or delayed shifts. The original TSB 23-2250 addressed the issue in pre-August 2022 build dates by recommending a redesigned drum. A subsequent TSB, 24-2046, outlined a more complex repair, including a potential main control valve body overhaul or full transmission replacement for some vehicles, followed by the CDF clutch cylinder replacement. A revised TSB 25-2134, released in April 2025, provides updated service procedures and part lists for this issue.

My transmission has been shifting hard, took it to the local "small town" dealer and they cleaned the valve body and did a relearn on the transmission. That still didn't fix it. Took it to a bigger dealer and told me that I need a new CDF drum. Dumb question as I am not mechanically inclined...When they replace the drum, do they fill up with new transmissioin fluid?
They better! Nobody uses toothpaste over after you spit it out. :)

Nice! New CDF drum and trash can (outer shell). One thing I’ve been noticing on some of these is no mention of what was done to the valve body. Inspected and cleaned? No verbiage stating what was done.
