So I’ve been racking my brain about how to haul sheets of plywood/drywall/mountain bike. I saw how the maverick tailgate was designed to lift up to wheel well height and figured we should be able to do the same thing. The result…

I had a truck that had dual eyelets on the cable to do this exact thing. good job but, i would be careful of how much weight you put on those little bolts though the main bolt is much larger and designed for the intented purpose.

I had a truck that had dual eyelets on the cable to do this exact thing. good job but, i would be careful of how much weight you put on those little bolts though the main bolt is much larger and designed for the intented purpose.
Don't forget that if the load bounces even just a little , the resulting shock will exert a lot more load on those bolts .

Yes I agree. I weight 200lbs and put all my weight on it and bounced. I think it should work pretty well for my purposes.

Does Ford have a use for this threaded hole in the bed? I can’t seem to find a good reason for Ford including it since it’s positioned behind the tailgate latch..just curious
