Tailgate Applique?

Cruising a FB group I saw this. New to me, never seen it before. Not my cup of tea, but doesn't look to bad. Alot cheaper than than the only other applique choice on the market though. Also appears to have a built in spoiler.

It appears to be same type of plastic as front grilles, so I wouldn't be too concerned with quality.

What is being shown will not fit a NA Rangers without modification. The ROW Rangers have curved lower panel on the tailgate without embossed letters. The taillights also follow this curve. On the NA Ranger the lower section is flat with the embossed letters. Not sure about that spoiler.

That was something I wondered about - the tailgate on the NA Ranger is certainly different than the ROW Ranger.

Maybe the American on the FB group did modify his. Or it may be as simple as the whole thing covers any weird empty space gaps on the back from not being the exact same mold. At a glance it doesn't seem like it would be an issue fitting our tail gates because the core dimensions are the same. Any weird oddities are probably hidden from view.

Maybe the guy was full of shit, dunno. I didn't account for shipping, but still way cheaper than the one single product available. Like I said, not my cup of tea, but its something different.

I like the looks of the tailgate applique but since it sticks on I'm unsure how much dirt and crud will get stuck behind it and maybe cause rust.
The color would work on mine but I already have the door stripes and black stainless tailgate letters. If I add anything else I’ll feel like I’m straying into old man Cowboy Cadillac territory. Just some fender skirts, lighted CB antennas, and a big-ass belt buckle and I’ll be set.

tailgate is aluminum hence all the damper jokes. why do you need it on a 5 pound tailgate?

Because too many years of dropping tailgates will cause the cables to snap unexpectedly. Had it happen.
