I'm about to turn 40k on my ranger - build quality has never been an issue for the Ford's I've owned. Dealership quality, that's a whole different subject. Right now looking at replacing my wife's 2016 explorer, and all 3 dealerships within 40 miles of me have been sold in last several years to chains. And the vehicle buying/repair experience has dramatically suffered.

We are talking about getting a non-Ford, and it's primarily due to the dealerships, and not the vehicle. I don't know how Ford fixes that.

This feels like an underdog moment for the Ford Ranger. While the Ranger is an excellent truck, it doesn’t get as much time in the spotlight as rivals like the Toyota Tacoma or Jeep Gladiator. However, now the 2022 Ford Rangershuts the competition down as the best mid-size truck you can buy.

Not a huge surprise as many here have tens of thousands of trouble free miles with theirs. Even those that had some issues most are not huge ones and have been fixed easily. All my Fords have always treated me good that's why I still continue to buy them and like very company now a days they're having their fair share of supply problems.

Right about now thousands of Taco fan boys heads are exploding while reading this. :explode: lol

I'm gonna ignore the drivetrain, my 2022 ford ranger is buit like a piece of shit lmao.

None of the body panels line up, hood overlaps driver fender. Bumper is misaligned.
Blew a shock, brake caliper stickin'..

I'm sure after a few dealer warranty visits, it'll be fine but god damn ford.

Okay, Ill update my situation, dealer said defective knock sensor from factory. was rolling timing back for nonexistent knock. picked up truck this morning running better than the day I brought it home. Time will tell if this was the only problem. Right now just happy to have it back.

Hopefully that's all it was and you can now start enjoying your Ranger like the rest of us.

Why did you ever take delivery of such a huge pile of shi...?
Once they have your $ they are much less interested in fixing it.

It drove fine, I noted the poor alignment of panels and lack of interior additions, but it's more of an issue of shaking my head and chuckle.

Hit the 1k mile mark steering wanders. I'm gonna have all these issues looked at in my first oil change which again I'm sure will be simple items.

I expect shit interior, and body panels, I also expect Good engine and a good drivedtrain and so far I've got all I expected out of ford. Plus I waited nearly 8 months so I decided to take it than leave it.

Would I buy one again? No. But not because of my current ranger, but because fords continuing decline of quality.

It will be Kia and Hyundai soon. All the rest are in steep decline.
