Curious is the majority of us unscheduled are SuperCab's?

At this point I'm wondering if a further economic cooldown might make a gently used model a better proposition. It's hard to imagine by the time my truck gets built paying MSRP will still be the best (relative) deal. Though I guess if the supply just isn't there that might still be the case.

I've ordered trucks from Chevrolet 4 years. Probably seven or eight of them and I would bitch when it got to the 8-week number. Ford you're out doing yourselves.

I didn't quite understand that. Did you just say you were paying MSRP for an order unit? Because if you did...

I originally ordered a 21 in September of 21, reordered as a 22 in October and still don’t have a truck
That's just crazy.

My order was a 2WD supercab. I'm thinking they won't pick it up. If that is the case, I'll look at a different brand and see if people are having the same issues.

Just don't go with the Nissan. It looks great but it can't get out of its own way and has a freaking 47 ft turning diameter. Chevys are normal so you can go there

Don't roast me too hard, I didn't join this forum till well after I ordered so I was oblivious to my options and just happy to be getting the truck I wanted and not paying extra markup. So maybe I'll be better off if my order does get cancelled?

Just spoke with ford customer service and truck is still in chip hold status. I don’t want to be moved to a 23. As this order started as a 21 !!!!!

My production got bumped...again...from this week (6/20) to July 25th.
UPDATE!

Just found an almost identical truck arriving at another nearby dealer...almost exactly the same as what I ordered, only it's a Lariat vs XLT. It has the black package and towing package.

It's currently in transit, set to arrive 6/27 - 7/2. Even if that gets delayed, better than my delay to even get built! The Lariat was built 5/29. So for any Mid-Atlantic buyers waiting, IF this one arrives when projected...IF....looks like about a month from build to delivery (and it has the spray liner).

I didn't want to initially spend the extra Lariat money, BUT I really did want leather, so I guess it was meant to be. I paid MSRP, no markup.

So if anyone is interested in a Carbonized Grey 4x4 Supercrew XLT with Black Appearance package, towing package, mud flaps, bed extender and keypad entry, lemme know......assuming the truck I ordered actually gets built at some point, it will be in Maryland around Labor Day-ish maybe. I have not cancelled this order yet and will wait a bit before doing so.....maybe/hopefully pass some luck along!

Order Confirmed 01/31/2022 In Production 04/08/2022, 2022 Ranger LARIAT, 501A Black Appearance Package, Trailer Tow Package FX2 Package
in production 8weeks and counting, Ford said on 06/16 it is schedule to arrive at your dealer 06/18/2022, But it is on hold, I don’t know why. At this point I am hoping for November.
Ford CEO Said
"that customer experiences are the future of the automotive industry in yet another revealing statement, too.ā€œ And I think the new winners, we don’t talk enough in our industry about the product execution and the customer experience and the winners and losers in that space,ā€ Farley said. ā€œWe tend to think of companies and allocating capital. As we get into the third and fourth inning, it’s going to be all around the customer experience and dictating the winners and losers.ā€

The Customer experience in waiting 6 months, with no word from Ford, and others getting trucks in 8/10weeks. That is not good customer service, but a bad experience.
Ford has let me down.
It is not the crises we are in that defines us, but how we manage the crises.

How is Ford doing?

I’m no longer in need of the emotional support from this thread.

Took delivery of my 22 Hot Pepper Red, Lariat, Crew, 4x4, FX4Pkg, Tow Pkg, Chrome Pkg, & 501A Pkg.

As an FYI, delivered with LED head lights.

Ordered 21 Mar 22
Blend 20 May 22
Dealer Called 13 Jun 22
Took home 17 Jun 22

Now it’s time to install all the stuff in the garage.

Hang in there, it’s worth the wait.
That’s awesome! ill keep sitting here trying to figure out where mine is………….maybe I’m asleep and having a dream.
