I mean at this point what’s the harm asking for your $500
Back finding a new dealer and ordering a 2023? Lol
There is about $800 or more price increase from February to August on the '22s. Not sure if there is even more on the MY23.

I guess it makes sense to not get our hopes up, but rather be prepared for what happened to many 2022 orders to happen to 2023 orders also. But I also believe there has been some changes by Ford to reign in shady dealership order tactics that bypassed real people orders. Production lines are working with a lot less COVID restrictions. And I think Ford has a new QC and Production manager in place.
Add to that, Ford wants what we want - get the vehicles to the owners.

I check every 3 days or so with ford customer service.
You need a VIN number first though, right?

I'm starting to get anxious about the fact that I haven't received an update in 6 weeks and others received their build dates 2 weeks ago (even some that placed their order 3-4 weeks after mine).

Yes, I have a VIN. I just give it to them, with the order # and they keep telling me build date of 10/19. But they did confirm the tracker will not update until the production process has began.

Have you asked your dealership to send you a copy of the approved COVP?
I was sent mine by my dealer only a few days after I got my first email from Ford saying my order was placed. You will get the email from Ford once the dealership puts in your order, but the order won't move forward until COVP has been completed and approved.

I asked about that and this was the reply I got...

Do not really have a document I can send but here is the COVP page that was submitted last month! Let me know if you have any questions!
...with a screenshot of the order page.

My dealer sent me copy of the "Approved" COVP. I put an image of it in my last post.
Are you saying the dealership has only given you a copy of the form they sent and not the "Approved" reply from Ford?
Send a copy of mine to your dealership and ask them to send you the one from Ford that your order has been COVP Approved.

If they don't have a response from Ford that your order was COVP Approved, then that could be why you haven't gotten a build week assigned yet.

I will so much bet money that's why so many had to wait so much longer than others for the delivery of their 22 Ranger, even though they may order and got their first 'Order Confirmed' email from Ford. You will get the email from Ford saying your order was placed, but until COVP has been approved, you Do Not have your spot in line. I don't know exactly which video, but it was one of Tim Bartz videos that made me aware of the requirement of the dealerships to do COVP on all orders.
Ford did this to stop dealerships from ordering stock in the name of make believe people.
I also read about this over in either the Maverick forums or the Bronco forums.

I sent an email with your screenshot attached. I'm a pessimist so I expect everything that can go wrong will go wrong, but I keep trying to tell myself that I'm in no hurry.
