I hate "summer" washer fluid

run the same stuff year-round, and I make sure that it's not gonna freeze at 20F, either.

You and I share latitude and I am about 800 feet higher than you. (drive straight across southern Vermont into NH and wave hello.)

Mine hasn't frozen even in the -10 we had last week.

I would blame a dealer, or who ever did your last oil change.
I would also garage warm it up to thaw it out and start putting real antifreeze into it.

Absolutely true.

But, to many of us, the dealer represents Ford.
Dealer bad = Ford bad.
I recognize that's not accurate or even fair to think so, but it's also often true.

My bad assumption I guess, I have always seen the manufacturer install washer fluid. Is this a Ford standard procedure?

Yah mine was empty it squirted about a thimble full out and then the low fluid light came on, I went to the dealer to bitch about it, that and the fact that the owners manual was plastic wrapped with no portfolio to put it in. My sales guy appologized for the fluid and offered to fill it (I have already done that) and informed me that Ford doesn't supply portfolios anymore.... I had him show me on about 5 different vehicles they had and none of them had a binder/portfolio in them.

Mine didn't come with any. One of the first things I got to do in my new truck was dump washer fluid in it.

My 2021 XLT came with both a portfolio and washer fluid. I feel gifted now

I had -20 in mine. Still froze. Upgraded to -30. If that freezes I might take the earlier suggestion of adding rubbing alcohol
